  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

From TPX Designs, makers of the Bicycle Genesis deck, comes Allure!

I'm down with the gold and wood look.  It's elegant and understated, and custom without being overly so.  But I think that out of a run of 5,000 decks, making a thousand of them gilded might be a bit too much.

What do you guys think?

The ace of spade looks a bit like the seasons imo, but the back design is very nice, simple but appealing.

What is a gilded deck?

golden edges basically by having the deck setting deck on a table you normally see white cards, a gilded deck is gold.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

A simpler, more accurate description would be a deck with card edges that were painted with gold paint after the manufacturing and before the packaging.  The term is also used with decks painted on the edges with silver paint, though the term gilded more accurately describes just the gold-painted version.

I've referred to the process in the past as a way of making playing cards pretty for people who don't really like using playing cards.  The performance is terrible, weave/faro shuffles are practically impossible, and shuffling or handling of any kind results in metallic flecks of paint getting on EVERYTHING in the area.  When enough of the paint flecks off, the deck looks really shabby, too.  But if you leave them unused, sitting in a decorative card box, they look oh so pretty...

You nailed it with "understated elegance", it also gives me a very strong 'Western Saloon' vibe. I am a sucker for the all black decks, and I think the dark grey and gold really compliment each other well in this design. Backs are very well done, kept the scroll work simple and didn't try to get overly complicated & busy looking. Great Looking Deck!

Nice Cards, faces are slightly cheap looking in my opinion. The box is gorgeous and the backs are really nice.
