Placed order of almost $4k for our grid clips in July, still waiting on them. Apparently almost finished...

If it was kickstarter I would. But you are not and on the page says your are using flexible funding. After I did some searching.

What if I don’t reach my funding goal?
If your campaign is set up as Flexible Funding, you will be able to keep the funds you raise, even if you don’t meet your goal. If your campaign is set up as Fixed Funding, all contributions will be returned to your funders if you do not meet your goal. Flexible Funding campaigns that meet their goal are only charged 4% as our platform fee, whereas campaigns that do not meet their goal are charged 9%.

I personally say stay away. Right there he has the option to just keep our money even if he does not hit the goal.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

He still owes people clips... but even if he didn't... he screwed over a ton of people on personal orders... you said it yourself

MORE than reason enough to stay away

I looked.  Choosing both Indiegogo and Flexible Funding adds up to two-and-a-half strikes against you with no one on base.  Indiegogo is not as popular and has some rather dubious-looking campaigns that use Flexible Funding.

Why didn't you go to Kickstarter?  Choosing Indiegogo over Kickstarter is the virtual equivalent of choosing to go shopping for gifts at a yard sale offering used clothes, a computer that belongs in a museum and games with half the pieces missing instead of a shopping mall with a wide variety of stores selling new, up-to-date merchandise.

Kickstarter would not only have provided you a larger audience, it would have set a firm standard - a fixed goal that MUST be reached or nothing gets off the ground.  It might be difficult for you to reach that goal, considering the reputation you presently have in the community, but based on your recent history, how compelling will it be to potential investors who know you get the cash regardless of whether you reach your goal or not?  How easy will it be to even reach that goal among a pool of potential investors that's much smaller?

YIKES guys, I really didn't know Indiegogo was frowned upon.  I figured the only reasion kickstarter became big in this community was because it started being marketed to us because of cards.  I'm starting to see just how tacky the Flexable funding is for all of you and that was just a bad move on my part.  I started this indiegogo with a plan B and now i'm going to just go with that.  Plan B is simple... I'll start off with a small in house batch of about 20 clips.

Thanks

You made it sound as if you were abandoning Plan A when you switched to Plan B.  But your Indiegogo project is still live...

After some serious thought, I've decided that this was all one bad idea.  I love this industry but I hate the financial side of it.  For all my great talents its time for me to see my weakness before I really kill it for me.  I'm not ment to be a business ower.  One day perhapse but not now.  Years from now at best.  I love cards, I care about the people I've scared, Even you CBJ.  Its time I learn from my mistakes and take a large dose of advice from those of you that care about my future.

So it is with a heavy heart that I kill Conjuring Creations before it creates the ultimate problem.  I'm not leaving the community but I'm going to stop damaging it.

Thanks

I have to agree with Alex on this one.  You don't have to go around reinventing the wheel all the time when there's so many good wheels out there already.  If I acted on every single idea, intelligent or hare-brained, that came to my head, whether I was ready to deal with the consequences or not, there would be a trail of personal destruction and devastation in my wake the likes of which you can't even fathom!  :))  The channels for content already exist - read them, enjoy them, add to them as you feel like it.

While some may never get past your business mistakes, others may get a better look at the flawed and imperfect man behind them - in order to better understand their own flaws and imperfections.  They'll come to appreciate your presence more in the community in time.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I will be going back to what I loved most and that was news for the community.  I've started a small news post called " Web Press".  I hope after the first of the year to take up deck reviews again.  I would love to just enjoy the wheel as Don put it.

You do realize there is a major web blog software called Web Press right?  Suggest you pick a different name.

Rob - why?!?  You're reinventing the wheel AGAIN!

Such playing card community news outlets already exist.  Start using the ones that are out there rather than trying to make up something new from scratch.

Sticks and stones?  what are we.. 5?
If you're not starting a business, why haven't you shut down your Indi-campaign (still open as of this moment)

If you have nothing but respect for me, you would not have pretended to be someone else for weeks.

You can say "hateful", but really I'm just trying to warn people about you.

and as for the next new fb page you've started.. I spoke the truth..

You have started a TON of sites/pages/etc.. that you just drop

Anyway, I'll let it go for now.

Dude. Rob. We have like 40 card news sites, we have three very prominent card forums, we have countless card YouTubes, and dozens of Facebook groups for cards.

I don't think people need a news outlet right now, or even an information outlet. Why subscribe to one of those when you can take your question to this forum, 52K or here and ask; the answer will most likely come within a day if not within a minute.

We have provided you an outlet to get in touch with people and you can use it. There is no need to constantly make your own.

This is coming from someone who has no ill will for you, despite probably being screwed by you more than any other person here. Vendettas are for dumbasses. But so is constantly trying to "reinvent the wheel" as Don put it. :P

CBJ I wrote all over it the other day that it was a canceled project.  I cannot simply take it down since Indiegogo won’t let you after launching.

@Alex | you and Don make a good case so I have removed Web Press and I will put my energy into contributing to established communities.

Cheers

Not sure why anyone is crying about the indiegogo still being up. Projects cannot be cancelled after launching, on KS or IGOGO.

And good stuff, Rob, looking forward to your presence.
