I think there's a glitch on their website because they're offering these at $5.95 each; a semi-reasonable price... Someone should let them know so they can fix it, we don't want them handing out 500 Kentucky tally hos for that cheap, they might only make a little bit of profit :/
Its not a glitch.   They have always been $5.95 each.

Yeah, that's the price.  And while I did joke about this earlier, it's not likely they'll be swapping in decks worth less than the advertised price.  Maybe Ohio Tally Ho, or Gold Edition, or Maeda Gold Edition...  It's not from the store merchandise - they said it's from their personal stash.

Please do tell us what you got when you receive them, I'm saving up for a brick or so.

I got a brick. Here's what I got:

2 Full Tilt Poker
1 Red Stinger
1 Titanium Red Bicycle
1 White Arrco
1 Bicycle 125 Anniversary
2 Fantastique
1 Blue Vintage Design Safety Back
1 Red Vintage Design Cupid Back
1 Red Vintage Design New Fan Back
1 Ask Alexander

I already have White Arrcos, an Ask Alexander, and way too many Fantastiques, so this wasn't too bad of a haul. Can anyone tell me more about the Full Tilt decks?

I think the arrcos, stingers and vintage backs are very good cards, but I'm not sure your brick was worth the money.

The total cost was ~$57 after discounts, buck points and free shipping, so besides getting more Fantastiques I'm not too bummed about what I got.

Well that's a fairly good deal, I got my box set for $63.95, so I thought that was a great deal.

$63.95 for a brick? That's still not a bad deal either, hope you have more luck than me.

No no, Smoke and Mirrors. I'm hoping to get 12 - 15 mystery decks. I'm just trying to hold some money for the Virtuoso playing cards.

I'm interested to hear what everyone got. It seems like everyone so far hasn't gotten any rare decks but I'm wondering if anyone here will.

They're out-of-print promo decks for an out-of-business poker website.  Not USPC, far as I know.

That list is making me nervous - it doesn't look like it was worth the money spent, or if so, only marginally.

I used to buy that kind of "mystery" playing cards.

Magic the gathering (and plenty of that kind of games), abuse that tactic.

They sell sealed packets of the playing cards and promise you that inside of one of them its a super rare card.

In reality, you never get the amount of money you spend.

I wasted like 300 dollars on one occasion, hoping to get some ultra rare cards.

I got some, but they weren't really that useful in the game so i ended up with some "bad" cards and they didn't really sell well at the end.

So i learned a lesson.

Don i hope you get at least a really rare deck, if you bought a brick chances are you will get something out of it.

Actually, there's only one thing that I'm assured of getting for purchasing a brick of Mystery Decks - 12 packs of cards, plus some brown paper and string for recycling!  I'm hoping for something solid, but I'd settle for decks at least worth what I paid for them.  125th Anniversary and Vintage reprints aren't exactly high value targets...

I understand how you feel, man I'd be slightly worried also. The vintage reprints are pretty good cards apparently, I know Henrik Forberg, Dan and Dave and Tobias Levin use them.

I used up my points and got 12. I will also post my results.
Got my fingers crossed like everyone but we will see.

I also played the magic the gathering game...wait, why am I admitting this?!

That's still going on in a game called Pokemon (TCG). You have $5 for a Booster Pack and you get a some cards, not knowing what's inside. I'm guessing the adrenaline of mystery is what's catching everyone.

There's lot of collectible card games (CCGs) that use that model.  Truth is, they do have a fixed distribution of rare, uncommon and common cards within each booster pack.  But there's never a guarantee about how useful in the game or valuable in the aftermarket that rare card happens to be.

Some companies have switched to a "Living Card Game" (LCG) model, where you buy a complete set of cards in an expansion or base set all at once, insuring you have all the cards all at once.  It's not a bad model, really.

And it has NOTHING to do with the Mystery deck!  :))  If you folks would like to continue this discussion, perhaps the Talk Park would be a good place to take it.
