ha
I don't want to get they although there is "out of stock" cards
but still can get from ebay or retailer and most of all I already have
I think that were "massive" private preserve... :t11:

if fact I want to buy mystery decks that I would like to get additional V7
but I didn't see any one get v7 :mindf-ck:
I think V7 also hard to get...

and the Jerry's nugget possibility
I think that's too hard to get bcuz no one know the total decks
(maybe more than 5000 or 10000 mystery decks, and only 1 JN or less than 10 rare decks)
or maybe there no JN...bcuz mystery decks didnt  sold out...

hope every one open and get rare decks!

Well, the advertising did picture a S&M v7 deck, and someone here did get a Robert Graham deck, which I'm told is on the rare side.

I'm thinking if I'm lucky, I'll get one "decent" deck, something at least semi-rare with a current "street value" of at least $20.  But judging from what people got so far, that's some very optimistic thinking.  I'm shocked they're giving out Vintage reprints and 125th Anniversaries...

With luck it will be waiting for me at the post office in the morning.

I picked up two bricks, for some reason. I figured it was worth the shot and that the odds figured I'd at least make my money back and a little more- plus, who doesn't like a surprise (or 24)? I'll be sure to post what I get once I receive the decks.

Since people are already receiving them and listing what they got, I'd have to say the answer to that one is a big, fat "NO".

And no, my cards weren't yet at the PO, though strangely enough I had an order from Gambling Incorporated (a division of Meir Yedid Magic) waiting for me that I ordered only two or three days ago.  I'm still waiting on stuff from E that I ordered about a week ago.  And I ordered from D&D before I ordered from E.  It would seem that around the holidays, "Priority Mail, 2-3 day delivery" is more like "you'll get it eventually, shut yer yap already".

Haha, my thoughts exactly Don. I haven't received my package either and I placed it the day these were released. I'm a pretty patient guy, but it's different when you don't know what you bought.

The Mystery Decks are now sold out at D&D's website. Still waiting on mine to arrive.

are D&D usually slow on shipping out orders? I actually haven't ever ordered from them directly so I don't have any experience with their promptness on orders. I'm actually considering getting the S&M v7s eventually...yeah it's undoubtedly overpriced, but I do like the design and would probably never open up an actual set of v3s even if I ever got them.

Either way, it seems like it's taking quite a bit longer than other sites for people to get their decks.

I've had good and bad experiences with their shipping, usually bad. My orders almost always say "pending" for at least a week, if not more, often outside of special releases/holidays. On one occasion, I had to email them after three weeks to ask why my order hadn't been shipped yet, at which point it was sent out. I've also had packages arrive from them without ever being marked as shipped or being emailed a shipping confirmation or tracking number. I can't seem to get a solid grasp on how they operate with shipping. As Don said, I think they just figure people will get their stuff when they get it...however long that may take.

I was referencing the US Postal Service when I said that, not Dan and Dave!  My order is paid for and has been "processing" for twelve days now.  Take away weekends and Christmas/New Year's Days, and that's still six business days.  I can view my streaming videos, but my decks haven't even left the warehouse yet.  Even factoring in the holidays, there's no reason for an order to be sitting like this for so long, especially when you remember that there's no stock issues here - these are decks from their personal stash, not products they're still waiting on from USPC or Joe Porper or whomever.

EDIT: I wrote to Syd to inquire.  I'll let you know what he says.

Please do.   I'm not sure if you ordered these the first day they were being sold Don but I did and that was on December 21st.   I just logged in to my account and it still says processing.   So who knows, I will wait to hear what Syd tells ya.

My order has been sitting for a while as well. I'd be very curious to know how many people actually work at a "big name" like Dan & Dave. They have tens of thousands of fans, and dozens of products, but my gut tells me that in actuality there aren't all that many people working in their warehouses.

Even though I was 1200 miles away from home for the entire week of Christmas and New Years I got all of MY orders out the door yesterday and today. Hee hee. :)

My order is also still processing. Seems like quite a few of us are dealing with this.

Well, Ellusionist, probably the greatest magic website, only runs on 12 people.
When it comes to D&D I'd probably say they have around ten people, give or take two. Dan and Dave are doing there thing with Samuel Fulton as their "creative designer", and I've only known Syd to work the shipping/processing center.

Here's what Syd said to me:

Unfortunately, this past Christmas we were definitely not prepared to handle the amount of orders that came through. With that said, we worked our hardest through the holiday season to get everything we could processed and shipped. With large releases and holiday seasons, we state in our terms that it can take up to "7 business days" to get orders shipped out. We try our best to stay within that 7 business day range, but we are a small business and in some cases, we could not ship out within those stated time frames.

As for the Mystery Decks, we did mention on the product page that they would not ship until "January 2nd". We had a slight delay with the packaging of the decks (each has to be individually wrapped) which will keep them from getting shipped out until next week.

We do appreciate everyones business and concerns and are trying our hardest to get things done in a timely manner. If anyone is concerned about a pending order and are posting at the Discourse, they are welcome to email me here directly.

So there you have it.  I'm thinking that by the middle of next week most if not all Mystery Deck orders will have shipped.

That's not what I wanted to hear, but I guess I have no choice but to wait another week or 2.   ::)

That's weird  I received mine three days after they released the mystery decks. I ordered more a week ago and it's still processing.

Thanks Don.

I don't mind waiting, I'm not going anywhere and I still have plenty of decks to use and things to do.
I feel they where upfront about it to begin with. Some got lucky and got them early. Is what it is.

  • Ugh, I wish I had money for THAT deck!
I just got mine in the mail today! Excited about that but ended up winning a bunch of orange Fulton's Casinos and a couple Clip Joints.... :( literally only two types of decks! How disappointing  >:( at least I have a bunch of decks I don't mind tossing around and abusing.

4 orange Casinos and 2 Clip Joints :/ not even like a not so common deck or something sold out or something I don't already have  :(

Mine's still processing as well, and I ordered on the 22nd last month.  Even with shipments starting on the 2nd, that was four business days ago.  They must be backlogged up the wazoo...
