Springing a deck of cards like a rainbow

I have heard of this being done. Can anyone here do it? I can not find a video of it on youtube.

I don't have video personally but I'd do it like Ekaterina and Andrei. I also do those but also by doing a dribble, kind of a variation of the anaconda.

I know what you are talking about, but I've never seen it done. If it was to be done it'd be pretty darn difficult. I just tried and my silver monarchs ended up everywhere...

I personally do basic cardistry. I focus on magic and try to keep it simple because I try to relate with my spectators. I congrats those people who do the fancy stuff but its not for me.

My personal favorite is when someone dribbles an Electric Deck but neglects to catch it on the bottom...  It just dangles like a broken Slinky...

Actually, that would be a wild-looking stunt if you dribbled it down, then rapidly swept it back with the same hand!  It would appear like you were scooping them up faster than they were falling.  But if you didn't give the string of cards a gentle jerk before going, you'd need to be insanely fast...

Kids will love it.  Adults will groan - though maybe not these days, since what's old is new again and it's been a while since this has been remotely in vogue.  Good deck switching skills will help - unless you want to intentionally blow the gag for comic effect.

It may be possible to do it manually, In the proper cardistry fashion. I know an anaconda can be done one handed, where the performer does the anaconda as usual and then just letting it fall and catching it one handed. If that can be done then I'm sure the method you are think of can be. I shall try, if I get somewhere I will share. If it is worth it I may develop it.

What I love about that video is that Andrei performs every style of flourish in under 5 minutes. Simply amazing. I would kill for dexterity like his.

Yes but it's, as you put it, an 'anti-anaconda'. I'm fairly certain that one hand dribbles up the cards but it is then taken away at the maximum and the cards are allowed to free fall without any guidance and its being caught in one hand.

Are you speaking of the Overhead Spring? If so,Jerry Cestowski made this flourish popular and seems to be also the creator of this flourish. Here is an exerpt from The Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes I own on this move.

                        "On the front of one of the paperback editions of Paul LePaul's fascinating The Card Magic of LePaul is a drawing (by Ed
