Deck for Flourishing

Hi there 
A friend of mine, will give me 1 deck for my birthday. He asked me to choose 1 of these decks: black tiger white pips, seasons seronda, white lions series a, jaqk (blue). I dont know their handling and durability, but i prefer durable decks like split spades lions. What deck is a good choice? 
I was going to take the white lions, but i've heard that they aren't as good as the split spades. Is this real?

If you want it for flourishing I would go with the seasons.

I think the Jaqk is a great choice.The handling of the deck is nice and look great in design. Season deck also a nice choice too. About the white lion, I think this deck should be use as magic .It had a simple design and faro very well.

Bad choice, I'd go for either JAQKs or White Lions Series A.

Both are excellent decks for flourishing.

Ha! That's what magicians and collectors ALWAYS think. We care for handling more than anything. If a design is good than that's a definite plus, but if cards handle nicely its what we really like.

Of the choices give, the Black Tigers are a good choice - IF (and it's a big if) they're of the new stock and finish, OR the ORIGINAL stock and finish.

In other words, the box needs to say either "Performance Coating" (new) or "UV500 Air-Flow Finish" (original).  If it's just the Air Cushion deck, don't choose that one.

I just read he's offering the white-pip version - that never came in "Performance Coating" and it's been discontinued.  If it's not UV500 stock with Air-Flow Finish, just take J&T's advice and go with either the White Lions or the JAQKs.  My personal preference of the two would be the White Lions - I know the stock and finish very well, and I was never fond of decks that promote alcohol or tobacco products like JAQK Wineries.

Flourishers will swear by UV500 over all other stocks, from what I've heard from them.

White Lions Series A and B are identical in performance, which is to say mighty fine.

Meh, It's a good stock, it really is. However, like design, performance is subjective. It varies from flourisher to flourisher due to their styles and personal tastes.

EDIT: Ak2angel, in my opinion White Lions are leaps and bounds better than the Tiger Decks.

White Lions Series A and B are identical in performance, which is to say mighty fine.

The series A are definitely different that the Bs The As feel more stiff and durable than the Bs IMHO. I like the handling of the As better.

Handling can be as subjective as design.  Even in the same deck, variances can occur if one deck was printed on a muggy, hot day and the other on a cool, dry day...

I generally prefer bee stock (the casino grade kind, I know some "bee" decks use standard stock) for flourishing because it's a bit stiffer and the cards stay in packets a bit better. The deck I use more than any other for practicing flourishes and cardistry is the T11 titanium bee decks, for the reasons mentioned above. It just happened to be the deck that felt the best but I've noticed that standard bee decks usually stick together better and not bend as much as standard bicycle stock. just my opinion, but you can try it for yourself since you can get a bee deck for pretty cheap (~2 bucks from T11, ~3 bucks at any convenience store or walmart or whatever)

Standard stock works well enough though, it's not like it's a huge difference but it's noticeable enough to me that any serious cardistry practice I do is with standard bees or the titanium bee deck
