It seems like there is a new DM deck in the works with E as seen in revelations. There is custom courts but not really sure about the number cards.

  • Ugh, I wish I had money for THAT deck!
I would take a guess and say that the courts are probably the same as the courts on his Players. But looks "clean" with the darker back and the same DM logo. Look forward to seeing more of this deck!

I'm a fan of the solid black back with the small DM logo. I'll probably pick up a few of these. any idea when they plan on being released?

From the QC shown I would think that they should be more than a simple recoloring

How was his first deck of cards? I actually haven't had the pleasure of playing with the deck myself. Is the draw the custom courts and the marked back? How was the handling? Like any other deck? Sorry, bunch of questions but I'm curious :)

I too love the fact of the very simplistic back. I've always loved the numerous decks like that, and I'm the same way with this deck. Also, those court cards are killing me! I love them so far!

If you roll over the picture, it will darken, showing a black design. If you look at the floor, that is a mix of brown and mahogany. Comparing that to the deck, I'd say the deck is black.

He's using a deck with his own logo on it, there's nothing to suggest Ellusionist is involved with it... In case you guys STILL haven't noticed, most people do use decks from multiple companies even if they work for one.

Yes it's just interesting to see why he'd have one deck made at theory11 and then go to Ellusionist for another deck... Even if he works for Ellusionist, he still has ties at Theory11 doesn't he?

But he wouldn't be advertising about it in a vlog he's making for E, now would he?  Especially after what we learned about E's non-compete agreements from Jason Brumbalow.

:)) gave me a pretty good laugh! As you can see, laziness has a hold on all of our lives. I mean isn't "E" so much easier to type than "Ellusionist"?? ;)

From afar it kinda looks like Wynns just with a smaller logo-design.

Maybe DM is going to transfer? hahah! oh well its his choice if he goes with E or T11

While I'm sure he's just on contract rather than on payroll, it looks like Daniel's working with E for the immediate future.

"If they are selling?"  It's not a matter of "if" so much as it is a matter of "when"...  :))

Daniel never worked for T11. He was a contributing artist. A bit like someone who gets their effect up on the wire - albeit with fewer perks. JB and Daniel discussed the idea of a deck of DM playing cards a few years ago, and as of late last year - it came to fruition, however Daniel no longer contributes in any way to them.

He's a permanent member of staff. http://www.ellusionist.com/about-us

Finally, - absolutely, we use different companies playing cards when we want to. We had a couple of decks of Stranger&Stranger's when we were in San Francisco that were kindly supplied by the Bucks for us to check out. We also used Robocycles and Zenneth's Bee Coteries - in fact I think in Revelations 4 you can actually see the Coteries being used for 'Slingshot' - and I'm pretty sure there's a photo on our Facebook page that shows the Robocycles being used on our Colossal Close Up Mat. However, all other decks we've used in the last few weeks have been ours.

Heck, when we have an endless supply of our own cards - why would be bother using anyone elses? It's a matter of convenience, as well as preference. Why eat mince when you make Steak, right?
