how much is shipping for 4 decks ?

We've got this amazing thing called an 'integrated checkout' at Ellusionist. You put what you want to buy into your cart, and then fill in the details with where it needs to be sent. Once you do that, the 'integrated cart' tells you which shipping options apply to you, and how much to pay for each. From there, you can continue through to the 'payment processor' - or keep shopping.

Frost, have you considered that just dropping any ol' four decks into your cart and going through the checkout process without completing it would tell you what it costs to ship four Rounders decks, considering that any four packs will probably cost the same to ship as any other four packs?

I think the idea was that since he wasn't a Black Club member he couldn't add the Rounders to his cart to calculate how much shipping would be. But that should no longer be a problem seeing as the deck is now available to the general public.

...and my idea was that E is unlikely to charge different shipping for any other four decks, like four decks of Emerald Artifice.  He could have dropped four of those in the cart and calculated the shipping.

Just out of curiosity, how long do you think it will take you to go through the whole brick and use up or give away all twelve decks?

I know the question is for him...

But in my case it takes 3 weeks to burn a deck...

But since I (like many of you too) have a lot of decks, i wont be burning through them quickly.... maybe not even in the next 2 years :/

Hey I understood your point. That's exactly what I did in order to see how much it would be for me since I'm not a Black Club member. I'm glad Ellusionist doesn't charge up the rear for shipping in comparison to some other sites.

I really am tempted to pick up a couple of these decks. I tend to like minimalist types of design and this is fitting the bill pretty well.

Screw it, here we go... putting the order in now.

Haven't actually used the E website since they changed up the design... seems to run a bit smoother.

Runs smoother, looks cooler - it was a good update.

You won't be disappointed in the Rounders, I think.

I keep 3 to 6 for my collection, 2 to use sparingly between other decks in the rotation. Some decks have no place in my collection for one reason or another. I will eBay those or give a few to young family members. Most of the decks I use are thoroughly broken in until they are begging for mercy. I find using decks at different levels of usage to be helpful in refining any of the cardistry skills I've developed the past 2 years. Depending on the quality, I could stretch a brick a year or more. Needless to say and probably more to your point, I have many decks waiting in the wings to be used.

Not the same paper. But it is embossed like air cushion finish. The Bohemia deck's box also had this.
guess it must be a new thing.

It's not that new - it's called a linen finish tuck box.  The black Stingers from T11 had that finish on the box.  Maybe one or two others did as well in recent history, but I can't remember which ones.  You don't see it a lot because it's not cheap and it's not done in-house.

Has anyone who's in the Black Club not receive the courtesy deck sent out yet? I have not received mine and I've check made sure my address was correct. That should not be a problem as I've made purchases after joining the club and it was sent to me correctly.

It's not just a deck, it's a huge boxed kit.  Inside is the big fancy Black Club box for storing up to fifteen of your most cherished decks, and inside that box is a plastic tray holding your Black Club Artifice deck, your membership card (it's more symbolic, but it does have two card reveals on it) and your Halo lighted wristband.

The first question to ask here would be: when did you join?  The second would be: did you receive an email confirmation of the shipment from E?

If the second question's answer was "yes", could it be possible that the delivery was made by a simple drop-off while you weren't home and someone else decided to swipe your box?  I recall when getting mine via my PO Box at the post office I had to get the box scanned for Delivery Confirmation, but no signature was required.  I'd check your account at E and look for the tracking number to see whether the box was listed as delivered or not.

If your package is being shipped overseas, it's also possible that to save on shipping it was posted by the least-expensive method available, meaning it could still be in transit.

And of course, there's the final question: if there is indeed a problem, have you contacted Ellusionist yet?

If you have anything more you want to know on the topic of the Black Club, please make a new topic for it - this is for the Madison Rounders.

I think he may be asking why he hasn't received the Rounders deck. LeonJL - it would depend on when you joined. If you joined before January this year you should have received it (if you're domestic) - if you joined after January, you were probably too late to get in before we ran names and addresses for shipment, if you're international, it's probably still on its way (I haven't received mine from that mailing either, being in Australia).

If you're domestic, and you joined before January - hit me up at the email address below with your email address and I'll have a look into it for you.

Anyone see revelations 11? Daniel hints at using a black sharpie to mark the rounders. I just thought it interesting seeing as the design is black and wondering if that idea was part of the intended design. I've seen this demonstrated using the rider backs before. I own the players. So I would imagine one could us the same marking system.  Not sure how inconspicuous that will look. It just makes this deck more unique considering its minimalistic back design.

Also it was brought up that all the court cards are custom except the jack of diamonds. However many of the individuals reviewing the deck are missing the signature on the jack of diamonds.

They are not like wynns but they do handle well, like most of Ellusionist decks. I am happy with my purchase of them, they look awesome and seem to be holding up fine after a bit of use.

Nearly every deck coming out of USPC these days handles well, due to Magic Finish being the default finish.  The only differences would be thickness of stock.

This deck handles nicely and the stock is moderately soft - not Bee Casino, probably in the Bicycle range.

Incredible!

This deck of cards gets better and better.

That's a neat trick but what interests me more is what he said about Artifice Tundra. They purposefully took the Ghost face design and put it on this new Artifice. This just confirms the fact that they did plan on releasing a deck more like Artifice "Ghost" than "Tundra".

Its a common thing, that people get accustomed to changes. Imo, decks were getting worse, and now are getting better again. Reason being to reduce manufactor-costs, the best finishes are not being produced any more.

When i go through my old decks, especially the old  ellusionists UV500s and Ohios, the new decks still cant hold up to durability and feel.
Lucky me i still have a bunch, but they wont last forever.

Man, and i can only imagine how much better the decks in the 70s must have been.
