I ordered some already.  I'm floored by how inexpensive they are compared to most custom decks.

I'm itching to see what, if any, customizing was done to the other cards.

They're available! Awesome. I'm definitely going to pick some of these up ASAP. I've been waiting eagerly for them since I first read about it in BMPokerWorld's blog.

Artistically speaking it's bad because clearly they tried to make the deck futuristic and sci-fi and everything about the cards fails to accomplish that. "Designed in the future" is the tagline of the deck. I'd argue that the tagline should instead be "designed in an alternate universe were robot-clown-demons are fun, quirky and cool."

The price point is great, but I am very let down by the deck. I was really looking forward to these.

Also, why is the T11 Steam Punk deck completely unrelated to steam punk? It has absolutely nothing "steam punk" about it. It has some gears and pipes but the colors are radically different from real steam punk, and the faces exude nothing in the way of steam punk.

Even the trailer depicts how little they know about the subject. A deck of cards is found in a factory and is played with. That's apparently steam punk.

Trash Lance's Actuators all you want but they are infinitely more thematically correct than T11's god awful rendition.

Ah, I really like the price of those decks, only $4 a piece! I might end up picking up some of these in the later.

I can't argue with that.  This makes me look forward to the Actuators all the more, even though I'm buying a small amount of these.

The Steam Punk deck is just too simple in its pursuit of the theme.
The Robocycle deck is an artist's idea gone awry.

I don't hate them - but they're far from my favorite decks.  'Tis a shame, really.

I wanna see those new Domebacks - maybe they'll redeem my faith in card design!

Got three decks of these from Amazon today. Gold seals, and they handle rather beautifully.

Which ones? The Domebacks? The Robocycles? The Steampunks? What is your opinion on the decks as far as design goes?

Right, oops. I am speaking specifically of the Robocycle. When I ordered these in December, I did not know there would be both blue and brown. I ordered three, thinking they would all be brown. I received two blue and one brown, and I have opened the blue one. The blue, borderless backs are printed in a metallic ink, the same color but a few shades darker than the blue Titanium edition Bikes from T11. The box, faces and black pips feature that same dark steel blue ink in place of the black ink, making for some very shiny spades and clubs as . I assume the brown deck is the same way. It's a pleasing effect. The face cards also feature silver metallic ink. The reds are a bright, normal red.

The brown box is nearly black. Gold seal is a nice touch, matches the printing on the box.

Manufacturing code puts them as having been printed in the 49th week of 2011.

Much cooler than I thought. A bit zany, but frankly better than the Steampunk deck. I'll take zany robots over standard faces. I did not think I would appreciate the design as much as I do - I think they're actually quite lovely.

Last, they handle exceptionally well, which was a surprise.

Can you post a pic?  $3 per deck is pretty cheap!

Yup. I bought a few during my trip to the US too from walmart and I can confirm that they cost around $3 per deck. I have also opened 1 to play with and I must say that they handled nicely even after a week of use in a humid country. The back remind me of the mirrors v3 and the court cards remind me of the magic con v2, both of which I am fairly attracted to. Although the courts look like the MCv2 decks - enlarged and without the borders, I still prefer the mcv2 ones but the robots are something differenet. They were definitely worth the buy. One point to note is that I saw some reviews online which said that the KD of the blue deck is missing a pip on one side but is fairly unnoticeable which serves as an awesome gaff. I cannot confirm this as I opened the black one :(

so thats what it says under the seal. I reckon it would be a continuous string of 0s and 1s.

Son of a gun - my decks have the same thing under deck seal on the top flap!  I bought them when they first came out early this year.

This deck was previewed not long after the press release announcing a partnership between Theory11 and USPC.  T11 revamped the bicyclecards.com website and partnered with USPC helping them come up with new custom designs.  The more notable results of this partnership has been a series of decks that were sold both by USPC and T11, usually in slightly-varying designs: Guardians (coinciding with the release of T11's "version 2" box change), Steam Punk (in copper exclusive to T11, in brass exclusive to USPC, in silver sold by both), and Archangels (first release sold in the exact same version by both companies, predating the release of Steam Punk in silver).  This must have been one of them, but one that T11 sort of distanced themselves from for whatever reason - it wasn't the most attractive or most popular deck, it had weak sales and there was that insanely silly missing index pip.  I don't recall them ever publicly announcing any involvement with the Robocycle design.  I didn't think it was awful - I thought it was more goofy than anything, and saw nothing connecting this design with cycles in any way.

One point to note is that I saw some reviews online which said that the KD of the blue deck is missing a pip on one side but is fairly unnoticeable which serves as an awesome gaff. I cannot confirm this as I opened the black one :(

That missing index pip was missing from both the black and the blue deck.  You might have a second printing which corrects the error - have you examined the King of Diamonds in your deck closely?

Don't be surprised if you see this deck show up on Wingra Direct's closeout section for 99ยข a pack...they're currently selling them for $3.99.  I'm pretty sure that's lower than original retail.

Yah, I bought these decks awhile ago at my local Wal-Mart. I was surprise to see them selling these decks.

Furthermore, I would agree with Don's statement of a second run, because my King of Diamonds are not missing a pip.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to miss.  One of the two indices had no diamond pip in it.  In fact, if you kept the cards oriented the same way and right side up, it was the top index.

If you have yours, as the others do, it must be from a printing made after the first one.

Guys, if you could, would you check for an AoS code and post it if your corrected decks have one?  It would help identify the printing much faster.
