... to make the magic/performance finish into a smooth finish? I would think they could just not put the dimples into the card and just put the finish on making it a smooth finish, or is there WAY more to it then that?
Way ahead of you...
As in it is going to be on the vortex, or it is in the making.
Yes its possible, But if you take away the embossing "Air Cushion", the cards will feel cheap and not have the slippery slide. No embossing = more friction = less slide
Unless there is a coating that would produce a lower coefficient of friction than the one currently being used, then it could conceivably create the same amount of friction as the "Air Cushion". I know its probably unlikely, but just trying to think of different ideas.
I want to experiment with the USPCC smooth finish options because of how amazing smooth finish decks are for cuts. It will be interesting to see what comes of this.
that is exactly why i asked this question. i love the Michel Herp style of cardistry with lots of cuts and very few fans, and sometimes the performance finish can be to slick.
who needs thumb or finger fans when you can pressure fan the cards. looks good and is way more fun to do.
You're not kidding there. I have tried handling a proto deck...it didn't go well and I just ended up getting frustrated.
What proto deck have you handled?
Umm... probably the Vortex proto deck.
I doubt Brandon has the Vortex prototype deck.
