Hello everyone,

Recently I started looking into smooth finished cards and I wondered, are the ace fultons casino decks red and blue as good as aladdins in the way they handle? Or are there any better handling smooth finish decks?

  • Ugh, I wish I had money for THAT deck!
If you're looking at the Ace Fulton's Casinos, then you're probably looking at D&D (at least a little). I'd recommend their new Steamboat reprints over the Casinos. I think those handle very poorly.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

You'd think the AFC red and blue would perform better.  Could be the stock's a bit stiff - smooth cards have a tendency to be stiffer.

I'm a fan of the Steamboats.  Light, just the right stiffness, and Magic Finish gives them good glide.

If you want something thicker to work with, the black/silver Erdnase Acorn Backs from CARC in Ivory are also coated with Magic Finish.  The other Ivory CARC decks are all standard finish, to my knowledge.
