The Jack of Clubs on the East Indian Deck almost killed me! I laughed so hard I almost choked.
Are these actual concepts or just art? Cuz I would be all over that one just for my own twisted amusement.
Few of the designs Collector discovers on Behance and DeviantArt ever end up being produced as a deck. Most were artistic exercises or submissions for an art or design class. But that doesn't make them any less cool-looking!
@Wil. W, @Don is 80% right on his statement. It’s only 80% because “few” is a relative definition. A lot of recent playing card artworks on my site are even single cards.
On the other hand, there are completed and produced packs of playing cards (irrespective of Behance and DeviantART). I changed my approach to reviews of playing cards. I want to make them interesting and informative. But it takes a lot of time. That is why I still don’t post them. Unfortunately, I can’t find enough time to finish all of them in the way I want. Maybe I’ll have to rethink my approach again and introduce widely some “preview” category on my site or simplify my approach to reviews. In best case, PlayingCardCollector.net is only 60% of what I have in my mind. Some parts are still under construction, some pages are even hidden from readers.
I always indicate if the deck is just an art project. Read the post about East Indian deck and pay your attention to information in parentheses
Also you can find out from my “About Me” page that all printed decks you can find in the “Printed Decks” category. Articles (posts) subjectively counted by me as reviews you can find also on this page (by names of decks and by countries):
http://playingcardcollector.net/playing-card-database/playing-cards-index/I’ve spent a lot of time to create different systems of cataloging and categories on my site to help readers to find information.
All playing card artworks as art projects are covered with the general category – “Playing Card Art”.
http://playingcardcollector.net/category/playing-card-art/Behance, DeviantART are only subcategories.
Use “USEFUL INFORMATION” page for better navigation through the structure of my site.
http://playingcardcollector.net/information/@Will W., I agree with you regarding the East Indian deck. I also like Joker.
I can try to contact the artist with a question about possible art prints. Should I?
