Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum and also new to playing cards industry. However, I've been loving playing cards for the very long time. The decision to create a deck for my own came accidentally. I gathered a small team of enthusiasts and here we go.

We worked hard from December to February, we collected all and every piece of frost and ice we found, and while there on the mighty North the winter still reigns, we want to offer you a very special item.
Winter is cold, dark and dangerous in the places where we live.

In this deck we've put all the power, darkness and glory of northern winter.

Main Ideas follow.

Characters:
~~~~~~~~~~~
Every royal card here is a character. They are not faceless "Clubs King"s or "Hearts Queen"s, they have their own thoughts, feelings and history. Their own mind.
Totems:
~~~~~~~
The inner sense of the characters itself is described in this totem animals so we can look at their souls unchained and uncovered.

Her Majesty, Winter:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the main character, she appears on every image of the deck. She touches our heroes, holds them, leads them, punishes and rules them.
Here is the artwork samples:
We are going to run our project on Kickstarter, so we'll appreciate any help. Reposts, pledges and, most of all, a good advice - we need all this more than food and drink. Thank you in advance. Let's bring this Idea to life together.
P.S. Excuse me in advance. My English is not so good as I want it to be.
First, welcome to the forum!
Second, I love what you're doing with the art so far.  Court cards with two distinctly different faces are a popular trend right now, but you've made something more unique out of the idea.
Third, I offer consulting services to companies and groups such as yours.  If you're interested, contact me in PM and we can discuss some of what I do.
It's become a trend, but in most cases it's a zombie face and a normal one or something to that effect.  Your take on it is definitely more unique.  It will help this deck stand out more.
Brilliant artwork so far man! Loving it! at this pace, I'd pledge for a few!
I would suggest try indigogo.com    What you can do with them is set up a page where you can have it like kickstarter (pledge and if you don't receive the amount you get nothing) or you can set up a pledge where whatever money gets pledged, if you reach the tend time and didn't get the full amount, you still get the money raised to put towards the creation of the deck.
Actually, that's why he SHOULDN'T use Indiegogo.  They have a sketchier reputation because of the loose goal policy.  They also allow charity fundraising projects - some may be noble while other may simply be some schmuck trying to raise beer money or pay for Spring Break.  With that plus allowing funding for projects in pretty much any country, a lot of people feel there's simply not enough oversight on what's kosher and what one can get away with scot-free.  I rarely check out Indiegogo, and then usually just out of curiosity, not with any intent to invest.
Thank you for your reply.
Of course, this is not a final edition of this cards. I already have an improved edition actually, and the work is still in progress.
If you want, you can write about the ways to improve this cards. We will definitely take your opinion into account.
I will show you colour sketches of AoS and back. Please, note that it is not a final artwork, it of course will be improved.
AoS: We are faithful to our idea of the Winter character, so you can see her presence here too. The lower part of the image is supposed to be a reflection in the ice.
Back: We decided to make it a bit easier to avoid overloading the card with symbols, images and characters. The back is covered with frosty pattern, that arrives at windows glass in case it is too cold outside.
As I mentioned in my previous updates, all comments, opinions and advise will be very appreciated.
Thank you.
I like where the design is going so far.
While it's not mandatory, your deck will likely be more popular if you create a two-way back design - identical when you rotate the card 180ยบ.  When people see a card player or a magician using an obvious one-way design, they consider the possibility that certain cards are turned one way, certain cards the other, to their advantage.
You will get your information support for sure. But did you consider that decision? As I know August is one of the most popular summer months for vacations. IMHO mid August is more optimal. No?
I like the art, the card backs IMHO should be two way and I'd lose the frame.  I'm very interested to see what your tuck box and numbered cards will look like.  Non-matching court cards are very popular at the moment and quite a few new card games (mostly zombie oriented) utilize them.
I would definitely not go with Indiegogo unless you expect your friends and family to fund the deck.  It doesn't get the foot traffic that KS gets.  Also, who will be printing the deck?
With so many art decks on KS you should have a plan to make yours stand out.  I think Don can probably help you there.
Good luck, I look forward to seeing this deck.
After discussing Collector's advise, we decided to postpone the project's launch till the beginning of September.
We are sorry for the delay, but it gives us a chance to improve our project!
Thank you all for your help!
Possibly. I'm not sure though as he still seems to be designing the cards as he goes, so it is kinda fitting here. I don't know.
There's only one thing to do. Light incense and chant until Don appears and blesses us with his wisdom and knowledge.
Ready?  Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........  :-\
The general rule is that when a project leaves the design phase - either by becoming a firm release or by reaching KS-funding stage - the designer or another member can make a topic in the PCP for it.  We don't move the Design/Dev topic.  Conversation usually continues on that topic rather than the Design/Dev topic.
