Feels like Halloween all over again...  :))

Bicycle Brimstone was the first deck from Russell Kerchval at CCCC, and it was one of the earliest decks on Kickstarter.  A true black deck with red and gold design work, some creepy-looking demonic court faces and the "X" card.  Quicksilver takes the same design theme with a back modeled from the mercury symbol (Brimstone was sulphur, I think) in a blue/silver color theme.

Bicycle Karnival Dose Redux was, as the name implies, a reworking of the Sam Hayles designs for the Karnival Dose deck - at the time, the Dose was the first Karnival deck to NOT have the Bicycle name on it.  The re-do included a new, double-sided back with a semi-subtle one-way mark and the addition of the Bicycle name.  The faces for both remained the same, a really creepy-looking "filthy Victorian-age lab" theme through all of the cards with the requisite skulls (for what BBM design is complete without them, right?) as well as taped X's over the court cards' eyes.  Not a black deck in type, but certainly one in spirit.

Everything about the brimstones and quicksilvers just works so much better for me than Karnival's.

I like Karnival decks in general, and the level of detail in the Dose decks in particular.  Dose FTW.

My vote is less for Brimstone/Quicksilver (guess I'm not really into black decks) than it is against Karnival Dose/Dose Redux (don't like the design at all).

A tie?! :0

I don't like either deck, but the Dose seemed more professionally designed. After the absolutely gorgeous Americana deck, Quicksilver seemed like a bit of a mockery. The Brimstone was just meh in general. The "outer glow" Photoshop filter should never be used explicitly in that manner.

So I vote Dose/Redux by a very, very narrow margin.

I voted quicksilver, I loved the design and pledged for a brick. I even got a couple people interested in deck collecting from that deck, and they have seen other custom decks of mine.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

Brimestone and Quicksilver all the way. I have to stay with Russell on this one.

Dat one-way back design from Dose saddens me. Dose Redux is okay.

I'll go with Brimstone here cause goth kids would have their minds blown by it's feel of malignancy. Muahahaha.  :t11:

(P.S. lol'd at :t11:'s text input)
