Hey I am Scott from the Poconos. I recently got into card collecting after pledging for a few decks on Kickstarter. I had no idea a community exists for people into card collecting but it makes sense. I love the art work and history involved in cards.

Anyway I like reviewing new decks and follow new releases. I hope to learn more here and become a part of the group.

Thanks
Scott

Welcome, Scott.  There's always room at the table for one more, as long as he doesn't mind dealing the next hand!  :))

For a new collector, there are several sticky topics at the beginning of the Playing Card Plethora board that you'll find extremely useful - you should check them out.

Heyo! I've been to the Poconos. Can't say it was a good time but that was for personal reasons. Specifically, the place we stayed at had an outdoor pool, and I stepped in human feces with bare feet. Not a good day for me haha.

Anyways, what projects have you backed on KS?

Thanks everyone!

The Poconos are hit or miss and I live here! There are some great spots and then there are some horrible places. I used to work for a vacation company around here. It definitely drives the economy.

As far as Kickstarter, the decks I pledged for are the following:

Federal 52 - Design is the most intricate I've seen.
Albino Dragon's Synthesis - Not a huge fan of the cartoon style but I love cyberpunk. Plus I thought their other decks were rad.
Sultana - I like how they are trying to bring out the history of playing cards but I feel it slightly ripped off the Sultan Republic deck by E.
Bicycle Majestic - So classy and elegant. I had to.
Ultimate Zombies - Very trendy. Not sure how well it will do but I love the number cards so I pledged.

Scott, I came into this thread to say Hi and inform you that you are no longer the green rookie-newbie, low-man on the totem poll. I just introduced myself into the forums today and as I am saying Hello I see you are supporting my deck already in Kickstarter. Thank you for that!

Hey Brian, Yeah I really like what you are doing with the number cards. I think the flip animation is so unique, Definitely shaping up to be one of the better zombie decks.

btw I posted about your project on my blog. http://tuckcase.wordpress.com/2013/05/14/kickstarter-project-the-ultimate-zombie-playing-cards-project-launch/
