The 5 decks I recommend are:

Shadow Masters - The worst handling of the 5 for flourishing but a classic of custom cards. Fans are easiest out of the 5 though.

Artifice Purple - Less slippery than the Shadow masters but have very smooth, sharp edges. The purple was a pretty good run but the finish oddly wears out pretty quick.

Monarchs - The best handling deck out of the 5. One of my favorite ten decks mainly for the handling alone.

Artisans - Stiffer than the monarchs but fans the worst out of the 5 but eventually fans better than the purple artifice.

Archangels - They're really good but the life of the deck is super short unfortunately.

These are all based off my opinion.

I'd wager the Archangels wear quicker because of the starch-based finish - they made it using the same organic, eco-friendly processes as the Eco Edition deck.

I noticed on YouTube that you mentioned you forgot to include smooth decks. So, what smooth decks would you put on your list, and why?

When I think good smooth decks, only three come to mind; Cincinnati Arrcos, reprint Cincinnati Steamboats, and streamlines any plant.

You're kidding, right?  I have some Chinese-made Streamlines - only thing worse from USPC would be the Mavericks, also Chinese-made.  American-made ones are great, and I hear the Spanish ones are as well.  And no love for the Aladdins?  Or any Ivory Finish CARC deck?

I've never used aladdins nor any ivory finish carc decks. Makes it hard to recommend them if I never used them.

For streamlines I meant either Ohio or Kentucky. I do have several Chinese streamlines and they're not too bad, definitely the worst deck in this discussion, but they're not end of the world bad. I can provide pics of it

Not bad?  We must be talking about different Chinese-made Streamlines...  USPC dropped their contract with their Chinese printer because the quality took such a hit.  They don't fan, can't be weave-/faro-shuffled, have low-quality stock and the edges visibly "fragment" into white dust from the first time they're riffle-shuffled.  I can barely execute a decent Erdnase exchange with them and I usually have to disguise that with a patter that's a veritable song-and-dance routine...  The one benefit I've noticed they have is that they're easily palmed because the stock gives very little resistance to bending.

I stand by my statement that the only decks worse that come from USPC are their Chinese-made Mavericks - they appear to have kept that contract because the Mavericks are their least-expensive, super-low-budget brand.  They're practically printed on cardboard and laminated with plastic cling-wrap!  I've seen them on sale for a buck in discount stores when I visit my mother in the South.  I find it tantamount to robbery that Wingra Direct (shopbicyclecards.com) sells them for the same $3.99 they charge for Bicycle Standards, especially considering the company is a USPC subsidiary - meaning there's no middle-man markup because there's no middle man...

Anyway, the Aladdins, Streamlines and Aviators are roughly on par with Bicycle decks in quality, with the Aladdins having the best handling - they're supposedly treated to withstand the high-temp. high-humidity environment of Singapore, where they're more common than Bicycle decks.  All CARC decks are printed on heavy Bee Casino stock, and stocks in general are a bit stiffer when they haven't been embossed for air-cushioning, so an Ivory CARC deck is really stiff - it has more resistance than Cambric Bee decks of the same stock.  The most exceptional specimen would be the Bee Erdnase Acorn Back in black and silver - the Ivory version was the first smooth-surfaced deck to employ Magic Finish coating.

Around here Streamlines and Aviators are both $2.50 a deck.  Ive bought a pack of the Streamlines a few times and I cant say they are the worst cards I've used, but the Aviators have such a nicer feel and cut to to them.  I can usually perfect one-handed faro Aviators right out of the pack. Streamlines always seem to have a very rough cut and the edges are flakey.

Aviators are on par with Bicycle in quality, they're pretty decent..

Streamlines depend on where they were made.  Original Arrco factory (which I think was Chicago), Cincinnati, Spain, China, Erlanger...  I have some Chinese-made (which are crap) and some Erlanger decks (which are not bad, really).

I'll check out a pack of Streamlines if I run into them.  I saw you said that Walmart has them for 99 cents.  I've never seen that before.  But for the $2.50 that the supermarket wants for Streamlines, I cant justify not buying a pack of Aviators instead.

Streamlines and Aviators are not at my Wal-Mart and the cheapest I have seen them is $1.30 or so at the smaller chain grocery stores like Walgreens

Yeah Aviators are around all over just gotta know where to look.  Streamlines are sold at the shop rite for 2.50 along with Bicycles and Bees for 4.00 and Walgreens and CVS are pretty much the same but they run specials.  Studs were always the best deal at Walgreens there are still some out there.  Except anywhere near me.  :t11:  Sam's club is the best for Bicycle Standards 14.50 for a brick.  Walmart pretty much they get a lot of stuff it comes in waves.. But everything is always 2.97 so you cant go wrong.. BTW the Wounded Warrior cards have always been awesome for me.  I like the back color, and the court cards are kinda cool with a modified 808 style.

Walmart USED to have them for 99 cents.  They appear to be diversifying their stock - meaning they've ditched their bargain brands (including Streamlines) and are now (at least at the one I've been to) only selling Bicycle, both Standards and special releases like Wounded Warrior and Nautic Back.  They rearranged the place a bit so it's possible I missed them, but when I looked at the place most likely for decks to be kept, that's all there was, as well as dice and chips.

Streamlines and Aviators are not at my Wal-Mart and the cheapest I have seen them is $1.30 or so at the smaller chain grocery stores like Walgreens

I've never spotted a Walgreens selling Streamlines or Aviators, but I've only been to locations in New York, North Carolina and Florida.  Doesn't mean none of them have it.

Aviators, as far as USPC is concerned, is another "regional brand" - it's considered not well known enough by most national retailers to be carried in all of their stores and will at most appear in only certain regions.  I know of five regional brands selling today:

Aviators: airport newsstands and gift shops.
Texans: Canada (go figure)
Aladdins: Singapore
Tally Ho: New York City
Mavericks: Southern states, except Florida (many Southerners no longer consider Florida part of the South since these days it's more like New York City's sixth borough...)

This is not to say these cards don't ever appear elsewhere - but it is to say that no national retail chains carry them in more than a fraction of their stores, if at all.  Card specialty/magic shops will naturally have access to them, as well as anyone purchasing from a wholesaler that will sell to the public (such as Kardwell).  Any "regular" retail outlets will usually only get them within their region.

It's a weird Catch-22, the regional brands.  USPC doesn't market them heavily because the national retailers only want nationally-recognized brands, mostly Bicycle and Bee.  But they will never be (or be again) nationally-recognized if no effort is made to market them nationally...

Funny thing about Shop Rite - it, too, is not a national chain; few grocers are unless you count big-box retailers that sell groceries as well as everything else under the sun.

Few Studs remain at this point, having been replaced by "Play-Right" Standard.  And in my area, Duane Reade (a decent-sized pharmacy chain in the tri-state area) was recently purchased by Walgreens, so while they used to carry fun stuff like Jumbo index Aviators. Tally Ho and Hoyle Shellbacks, now they seem to be just selling Bicycles and Play-Rights, like all of the other Walgreens around here.

Those Wounded Warrior cards are pretty cool - believe it or not, if you look close, you'll see that the courts are actually standard courts, but they're colored in dark digital camouflage similar to current military issue (not the light desert stuff, but something more for mountains/forests).
