This is a deck that I think will do good, but it seems to have a high goal for a non branded deck. I hope it gets funded, I want this deck in my collection.

Just got these and they look great although there was already chipping on some of the borders right out of the box which is weird. Sadly they didn't even deliver as promised on a linen finish nor on metallic inks on the tuck cases. So we get a smooth finish with terrible handling, oh well.

I really wanted these until I saw and heard more about them...their kind of in the same catagory as Steam Punk for me, love both themes, but just can't find something I really like.

This deck has been somewhat disappointing since from the time after funding when he announced that Bicycle legal had issues with the design. Now I'm always disappointed to see KS decks on the open market before all backers get them (Yes, I'm still waiting :-). And to hear they don't handle well... Oh well.

Sorry to hear that. I had stayed away from this project but did pick up 1 deck of each color on the open market months ago.  Hope you get them soon

I understand the disappointment aspect of things, but it's more economical for the project creator to do this.  The designer can cut deals with retailers while the deck is still "in process", then arrange for the print run to be broken up into a few drop shipments, whereby he receives the decks about the same time the retailers do.  USPC doesn't charge extra for this, as far as I know, so it's a savings for the designer - without this, he'd have to receive the entire shipment himself and pay to ship them in bulk to retailers.  It does seem like a disservice to have them in the hands of retailers before backers, but imagine how much more the decks might have otherwise cost...  Even with that, in most cases, you're getting a deal over the prices a retailer will charge.

That makes sense. I'm still patiently waiting for mine. I missed it on Kickstarter, but I messaged the creator and he sent me a link to BackerKit, so I was able to get in. I read in the comments that he's selling extra decks to help pay for shipping to backers. It's unfortunate that he's having trouble like this, but I do appreciate that he is still communicating with his backers and is still sending out updates. He even takes the time to message me the updates (I can't see them since I didn't officially back the project on Kickstarter and it's backers only).

That's disappointing.  I've seen a few projects run into this issue: failing to plan for enough cash to deliver the decks.  Sure, it's not easy to get it right, especially with increases in the postal rates like the one that took place last month, but still - if you fail to plan, then you've already planned to fail.
