I have a feeling that if they limit the decks, the same things is going to happen as with the Red Artifice's: High anticipation, Sever Crash, and not everyone gets a fair shot.

I don't think it will be 5000 decks limited.
It's too fast to release that value deck twice a year.

We've migrated to a cloud solution since then, so we shouldn't have any server crash problems from now on for any of our releases.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

Well hopefully if it is really limited, they limit the amount anyone can purchase do that people are buying bricks by the dozen for profits and so that everyone else can get their hands on them!
Thank you for bringing that up. Why do not we see more of these companies limiting how many decks can be puchased. Regardless, some people will always be into this for the money and get decks just to sell on Ebay. I always like to get between 3-5, I will admit I may think of selling one if the prices go high or a friend wants to do a trade but I think most true collectors would be happy with a 5 or 7 deck limit. I am sure there is a reason for this not happening and some of it has to be on the profit side for the company. Ah, what the do I know, I am just a middle class white guy. ;D

I'm pretty sure that T11 limited how many Monarchs you were able to buy.

It has been brought to my attention that the name of the "Christmas Deck" is the Executive.

I'll need to confirm this, just to be sure.

If it is, what do you guys think of the name?

Depends what they look like before I can judge the name, really.  If they seem, well... executive, then it'll be a good name.

The name is OK but it doesn't inspire.  The name really doesn't matter, the look of the cards and the artistry that goes into the deck is what will inspire me to purchase more that zero(0) decks.

Alright I know for sure what the Ellusionist holiday deck is. It is a simple yet elegant back design in black and red with a white border. It will be called the LTD Deck. I haven't seen any of the faces yet but I got pics of the back and box...

and then added

And during the Holiday Giveaway you will be able to get one of these if you spend over $150...
Not sure if I buy this, but wanted to know if anybody has heard about this? What do you all think?

Will there be enough decks for everyone who may want the deck?

From the pics I see this is gonna  be a mean deck of cards

I think you're referring to the Infinity deck and not the one discussed here as there are no pictures available of this one just yet.  ;)
Woops  ???
I'm sure the christmas deck will be a mean deck based on E's repurtation anyways  ;D

From what I heard, this is what the deck looks like... this could be true.... or it is false! I don't know so if I'm wrong, don't be mad  :P
Anyway, I really like the design, the colors are nice and the shapes look cool too! Theres actually a white border and before that theres a black border thingy!

What do I get if it's a new version of an old deck?

This is Ellusionist, not Theory11.

Touche!  Well played!

What pictures?  Where are they hiding?  Are you sure they aren't Infinity decks?

There's a solution to the whole eBay thing.  Screw 'em and don't buy them on eBay.  There's going to be suppliers only for as long as there's going to be buyers.  If you stop buying, they have to drop prices to dump them.

(Granted, this would take the coordinated efforts of the entire eBay community, so it stands a snowball's chance in hell on Summer Solstice...)

I saw that pic above - it's a sweet looking back.  Am I the only one who's loving this trend towards classy, elegant, understated designs for card backs?  Demons and swords and bombs and what have you are cool, but they don't fit every occasion.

No, you are not the only one. I think a classy elegant deck is much more favorable than all these death head skull and bones decks comming out. Obviously there is a demand for all the skulls and what not but I much more appreciate the elegant look of things like the Artifice or even the smoke and mirrors. Although the Infinity looks great I wish it was these limited decks that were unlimited. If it was two decks with each $150 purchase I would be more likely to jump on it. I always like one to open and one for the collection. I am a magician (hobby) along with a card man so it is not bad for me. I looked through E's offerings but there is not many things of interest I do not already have. If I was planning on getting pure smoke this would not be an issue for me. I can not see the logic in spending $150 just to spend $150. I must admit if my wife had not recently been laid  :( off I probably would.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife losing her job.  I wish her luck.  If the time spent empty starts to depress her, suggest she try volunteering somewhere like a hospital or a nursing home.  It may lift her mood.

While it would take time and effort, and tie up about $300 for a while, if you bought two orders of whatever you think you can resell from E, got the decks and the other gear, then sold that gear on eBay for face value plus shipping, you might just be able to get the decks for free.
