Hi guys, I've just bought a brick of bees online and when they arrived I noticed they had a green logo on the back of the box, I thought nothing of it proceeded to open them and play with them and they handle great!  However out of curiosity I tried to find out what the green logo was for and I came back with a lot of sources saying they are fake chinese ones and they handle so terrible. But then I also found on here that it said there were some genuine ones printed by the uspcc. I was wondering if anyone could confirm this as true or not. They have holographic bees printed along the front of the deck and also the cellophane strip bit is the word bee repeated in blue. Any insight into this deck would be very helpful, thanks guys.

I may know which ones you're talking about. Are they Baofeng cards? My grandma got a few decks for me from NYC because she found out I collect cards, and initially I didn't open them because I figured they'd handle poorly. I was wrong, though. They don't faro but they do pretty much everything else pretty well.

I received news about this from Bill Kalush after he returned from China on his hunt for high-grade Chinese manufacturers.  He informed me that USPC has indeed started incorporating bee holograms into the decks they produce in an effort to reduce counterfeiting.  I can't recall if the holograms were in the tuck box finish or in the cellophane wrapper, but they are indeed there.  And yes, at one time in history, you could count on the "Connell Bros." sticker being on a genuine Bee deck, as they were distributors for Bee in Hong Kong, but the counterfeiters got wise and imitated the sticker on many of their forgeries.

Check the Ace of Spades out and post the alphanumeric code that appears on the front near the bottom of the card.  The hologram feature is fairly recent, and the deck should have a recent code on the Ace of Spades.  In addition, they should also list "Erlanger, KY" as the city of manufacture on the box and the guarantee Joker - most of the counterfeits say "Cincinnati, OH," the location that USPC vacated in late 2009.
