Hello everyone, my name is Mike (aka the Volkinator) and I'm brand new here (a collector). Great to be aboard. I was referring to this website from a new friend of mine running a Kickstarter campaign.I am about to launch one myself actually. I am from northern California (Petaluma). I just finished designing a deck of cards called Strength Stack 52, which is a deck of fitness cards that is designed to make fitness fun. I am anxious to start snooping around so I am sure you will hear from me soon

Question, do people from northern Cali call it "nocal"? Just a thought that randomly popped into my mind just now.

Hey, it's nice to have you on-board.  Make yourself at home, have a look around.  If you have any questions, the only stupid ones are the ones you don't ask.

Much like people from San Francisco refer to it as "The City".  Welcome to the forum and I want you to prove to me that a fitness deck is going to be fun, exciting or interesting.  So far it sounds painful.  And I'm the point in my life where pain and gain are not homogenous. :)

I have family on the other side of the Bay and they call it "SF".

It's a lot like New York City.  When a New Yorker talks about "the City," he or she is talking about Manhattan southwest of (downtown from) Harlem and East Harlem.  It covers a lot of neighborhoods.  People in the City call people outside of the City "B&Ts" - bridge-and-tunnel people, since most of them have to cross one or the other to get there.
