As I've been sitting here tweaking the formatting of the oh-so-sexy new chart layouts, I noticed something rather important for any late-holiday shoppers: the discount codes for both the 1-Eyed Jack and the Gambler's General Store expire today.  It's "use 'em or lose 'em" time.

I've edited the last NDR to reflect the changes in the Handlordz company projects - check out the link to the topic on the Blades Special Edition deck for more info.

...and edited it again to include info on the 3rd deck coming from Emmanuel Jose - no title given as of yet, but he gives a sneak peak of a circus-themed deck in production for 2013 at the end of the newly-posted preview video of the Clipped Wings deck.

Albino Dragon's "Alice in Wonderland" decks will open as Kickstarter projects on January 10th, instead of as a "company project" outside of KS.

The "WARRIOR" KS deck project closed Wednesday unsuccessfully, having raised only $812 in pledges on a goal of $13,500.

On the other end of the spectrum, the "Hero Boy 8-bit" deck series (up to four designs now) closed very successfully, raising nearly $44,000 on a $7,500 goal; it's now in the Successfully-Completed list.

The Lincoln deck closes tomorrow on KS, and could still fail despite a low goal - if you have any interest in this project, now's the time to show it by investing!

Collin Stover of BeDeceived did eventually post his Kickstarter, but with a big announcement - his KS is more for paying off his debts and shutting down BeDeceived.  There's a lot of opportunities to get all three of his decks, his uncuts and various other stuff.  Since he states he needs the funds to get the Confidence deck made, I'm posting the project here.  Already, he's nearly reached his goal and there's a lot of LIMITED rewards to check out that are still available.  It will remain listed as a company project as well, since it did begin as an independent deck and already was for sale in pre-order.

Another deck on KS since the last report: Bicycle - The Ancients.  Check it out.  There's a fair amount of discussion on the deck's topic about the interesting choice for the court card designs... 

The plug was pulled around midnight last night US Eastern Time (05:00 today UTC) on the Bicycle Flowers deck, with $2,562 raised on a $10,000 goal.  The project was scheduled to close Monday.  Perhaps they'll redesign it - third time could be the charm?  LATE EDIT: they opened a fashion line!  They're selling t-shirts with the designs from the Galaxy Cards and Bicycle Flowers deck designs.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/78897526/alien-ink-fashion-line

The Lincoln deck fell short of its funding goal yesterday, garnering only $5,141 of the $7,400 sought to turn this design into a reality.

The BeDeceived Confidence deck project has hit its goal at breakneck speed and is still off and running.  There's still plenty of awesome limited rewards remaining - including hiring Collin for two grand to design a deck for you to put on Kickstarter yourself!

I'm adding a new chart to the report: Decks Released in 2013.  There's nothing on the list yet, but it'll serve as a catch-all for any decks that have come out for the year - even the stealthy ones that managed to slip under our radar and got released before we even knew about them.  If you know of a deck released THIS YEAR ONLY that isn't listed, please let me know.  At the start of the next year, the 2013 chart will be left on the final post, December 31 or thereabouts, and a new chart for 2014 will be created, ad infinitum into future years.

A late add to the Company Projects list: Takefu, by Eric Duan.  He's been posting about it on his Facebook for close to a week now.

Since I haven't done one in a while, here's my take on the currently-active Kickstarter projects as regards their chances for success.

Double Edged Poker: snowball's chance in hell.
Bicycle The Lumberjacks: too close to call.  It's near it's goal, but it's also had many days with little to no added pledge dollars.
Bicycle Lucent: stuck on a funding plateau, won't succeed if it doesn't get off of it.
Polaris: making solid progress, almost certain to succeed, though perhaps not by a huge margin.
Dicecards: it's not a card community pleaser, but it's doing well enough with d20 gamers and the like.  Will be close, but will probably make it.
Bicycle The Ancients: too soon to tell; it's still riding its opening wave of investment.
The Confidence Deck: already overfunded by a healthy margin.  Could reach 400% before closing time.

On KS: BIG NEWS!  Not only did Polaris have a huge boost and hit their goal today, but so did Bicycle The White Rabbit - which only started today!!  That sounds like a speed record to me...  Amazing...

EDIT: the Bicycle White Rabbit deck appears to be coming (at least so far) in a single color, blue, not black and white as originally thought.

A D&D surprise - we knew Steamboats were coming, but we didn't realize they were also releasing New Fan Backs as well!  In retrospect, I did spot them in earlier photos but didn't make the connection or realize what they were.

On KS: the Freakies had its launch today - as a Bicycle-branded deck!  You look at the archival video footage and (if you were alive in the 1980s) it'll bring back some memories...

Zenneth Kok was kind enough to stop by and mention that Coterie1902.com will be taking pre-orders for the Legends decks before the end of this week!

I spotted a new USPC-designed deck that flew in under the radar: Bicycle Large Print.  They're bridge-sized and the design is extremely similar to the giant-index Hoyle bridge decks.  I have no idea whether it released last year or earlier this month - I know it was added to their inventory not too long ago because I've gone over all their decks and never found this, perhaps even as late as December 2012.  If you know at least what month they came out, let me know, please!

I received word from our friend and deck designer, Emmanuel José, that his third deck, the circus-themed one he's working on now, is entitled "Sawdust".  He gave me a peek at the first five cards - the work's entirely up to the same high standards of his Curator deck!

Congratulations to Ian Millington - his Dicecards project hit its funding goal with 17 days remaining!  I'm hoping he hits some of the overfunding goals - there's going to be perhaps four colors of this deck if all goes very well.  Collectors weren't too big on this deck when Ian first presented the design here on the Discourse, but apparently this is another deck that's not dependent on collectors to succeed - paper-and-pencil gamers likely ate this deck up and asked for seconds, it was that good to them...

The Coterie of Prestidigitation Artists (coterie1902.com) started taking pre-orders for the Legends deck in the past day.  It didn't take long before the standalone sets sold out, but I believe they still have some sets with Coterie Bee decks in them.  Additionally, orders over $100 are eligible to order black and white sets of Gold Seal Bicycle New Fan Backs for a mere $25 each.  Sweet...

CARC will probably be releasing the Legends deck very soon - they're expected to get their shipment of it this week.  In addition, they seem to be preparing to offer ANOTHER Erdnase 1902 deck, this time is the blue Acorn Back.  Evan posted a photo but I haven't been able to find anything else about it.

On KS: it wasn't hard to see that Double Edge Poker was going to crash and burn - it ended today with only $577 pledged on a goal of $20,000.  Lumberjacks ends in about 16 hours and will be funded.  Lucent looks like it's in big trouble - at 70 hours remaining, it's had losses in pledges for the past two days, an overall loss for the past week and is barely over half-way funded.

Congratulations are in order for Elite Playing Cards - their Divine deck just reach and passed its funding goal with about three weeks remaining.  Good job.

New KS project: Forbidden Kingdoms.  Worth a look, some handmade art, short print run, USPC-made.
