Believe me, I appreciate the amount of work you put in and wouldn't want to take it all on.  I have no clue what it entails.  With that being said I also appreciate, and am amused by, the amount of effort you put into correcting people.  I Love It!  So, naturally I jumped at the opportunity to correct the Big Man!

Changes Since the Last Report

News Update:

• More news from Ellusionist: the Republic No. 02 deck will be released this Wednesday, the 14th of August.  The design is not white after all - it's a dark color on white, possibly black but it's hard to tell in the photos, plus they're may be another color or two that we know nothing about yet.  E's teasers also revealed a face design aesthetic similar to that of the Theory11 Sentinels deck, with small indices, small pips and some unique pip arrangements in geometric patterns.  No word yet on the appearance of the courts or the Aces.
• It's a bit later than I'd estimated, but Lotrek's Bicycle Venexiana deck has finally crossed into overfunding territory!  I'm glad to hear it, Lotrek, as I'm sure many others are as well.
• In what has to be the most incredible case of fast KS funding I've seen in a little while, an unassuming little deck called "Permaculture" came out of nowhere and debuted Saturday with a goal of $18,500 and has since blown past that with room to spare, at over $20,800.  The deck's creator doesn't go into an explanation of what permaculture is, but it appears to be some sort of a system for living off the land and with as little outside intervention as possible, in terms of minimal use of power; no-pesticide, no-irrigation farming; etc.  We've all seen decks that get funded in the first few hours, even the first hour, but most of those decks had rather low goals compared to this one - usually under $10,000, rather than $18,500.  Keep an eye on this one - I'm sure it has little community interest, but at the rate it's going it could become a record breaker.
• Alex Willis announced on the topic for his Bicycle Four Jokers deck that he and his partner Bryan Cashdollar have canceled his KS project for this deck and are working to restart it soon with a smaller goal, multiple deck backs to choose from and a printer other than USPC.  Plans are still in place to make marked and unmarked versions of the decks.

Changes Since the Last Report

News Update:

• I discovered yesterday that the Kings Card Game deck project from USPC managed to evolve into the Bicycle Red Plastic Cup deck.  I'm dropping it from the Company Projects list.  It's a shame, though - the Kings deck looked like it was going to have some nice drinking games on it.  But even I have to admit that the art was about as exciting and party-oriented as the safety pamphlet about the exits and flotation devices on an airplane.
• Lotrek announced a new KS stretch goal for the Bicycle Venexiana deck, which closes on Tuesday.  If he hits $20,000 in pledges, he'll order the deck in two colors, with a new black back design to complement the original.
• Brian Lee/Warpunk Games announced a radical redesign of their "Black Box Card Games Volume 1" boxed set with the addition of a second deck design.  The new deck, called Bicycle Vivant, is now intended as a companion deck to the Bicycle Revenant deck - Vivant, a light-colored deck (in green, purple and pale parchment blue), shows the court characters in life, while Revenant, the dark-colored deck (in red, blue and dark brown/black), shows them in death.  In addition to being offered with the 5-game boxed set, the decks are available on reward tiers individually and in pairs.  It looks like the idea is working as the project's rate of funding has roughly doubled.
• In its first week, the Permaculture deck has doubled its funding goal and is still going strong.  Three-and-a-half weeks remain - it's possible this deck could take a place in the top-five highest earning deck projects.
• Congratulations to Elite Playing Cards on yet-another successful deck project - Bicycle Evolution has reached its funding in well under a week.
• Reminder: Monday at 14:00 UTC, Uusi will launch the Blue Blood Redux deck on KS.  Jump in fast for the early bird specials!
• I don't recall if I mentioned this earlier, but I learned recently that Kickstarter either is already or in the near future will be accepting projects from Canada, funded in Canadian dollars.  So, you Canucks and Canadiens, get cracking!
• There is an excellent chance there will be no report Saturday of next week.  I'll be on vacation and it's the weekend of my first wedding anniversary and my 46th birthday, both of which land on Sunday 25 August.

Changes Since the Last Report

News Update:

• After announcing that he was creating a stretch goal for a black deck of Venexiana at $20,000, Lotrek posted Saturday that he would be canceling that stretch goal - even after it was suggested to increase the goal to $24,000.  Upon looking over his designs, he saw a real opportunity to create a new design for his black deck, something that would truly complement the original Venexiana, and has opted to give the deck the development time it deserves and create it as a separate KS project.
• Please double-check the closing date/time of your favorite projects on KS - I had a few dates/times incorrect and have made corrections, changing the order of the projects as needed.  In addition, the project for Pocket Time Machine somehow got "misplaced" - I'm adding it to the list now.  It now has a second deck in crimson and there's seven days remaining.
• Reminder: TODAY at 14:00 UTC, Uusi will launch the Blueblood Redux deck on KS.  Jump in fast for the early bird specials!

Changes Since the Last Report

News Update:

• Jason Brumbalow is back, and he's working on a still-not-revealed project with Murphy's Magic Supplies.  He's taking questions (especially some rather bizarre ones foisted upon him by our own mod, John) so go to his topic and ask away!  The project is projected to debut in November.
• Bicycle Voyager is now shipping - I got mine - so off to the 2013 Releases List it goes...
• HOPC announced a new deck, the Nautical Deck, coming Thursday night.  It's unlike any deck they've sold before, according to Alex Pandrea, in terms of the stock and finish.
• I was wondering how long it would take before someone wrote a topic about the "Black Book of Cards" project announced by UnCommon Beat some months ago, never to be heard from since...  You have Rob Wright to thank for that!
