what's the spiewak and the jack link deck mentioned in the list above? No luck finding it on google.
I don't know what the heck a spiewak is. At least I didn't, until I Googled it!
I. Spiewak and Sons is a Brooklyn-based manufacturer of outerwear, in operation since 1904. They've expanded from being merely functional to being quite fashionable. On September 22nd last year, they introduced their upcoming fall line at the Brooklyn Denim Co. store - the first fifty attendees were given a free limited-edition Spiewak deck of playing cards. Whether more than those fifty exist is uncertain.
Jack Link's is a popular brand of smoked meat snacks like jerky and sausages. They made a promo deck, like so many companies before them. They use a "Sasquatch" character prominently in their ads, and they're a sponsor of the World Series of Poker - the latter probably being a big reason why they made a promo deck in the first place.
CBJ: decks to come off the coming-soon list:
Crimson Gate - dead in the water, no known chance of revival.
Bicycle Steam Punk - in release, BOTH versions
Bicycle Robocycle - in release, BOTH colors
Aladdin decks from Pokerstud52 - red Domebacks out now, blue next month
D&D US Regulation - released as Vintage Plaid, although the boxes say "US Regulation Playing Cards"
