It worked for me last night but I didn't continue with the order, this morning I tried it again and it didn't work. Could've saved a few bucks…

I used the code once and it's not valid anymore.
I think it can be used only once.
By the way, if you buy more than a brick of any decks, you will get 15% off decks which is better than the code itself.

I figured out last night that you can have either the coupon code or the deck discount - not both.  I suppose that's to be expected, since it's rare that you can stack discounts like that.

And for those of you who couldn't get fancy426 to work - two questions?

1) Have you used the code before?  If so, it won't work again.

2) Have you tried either creating a new account or logging in as a guest (if the system permits)?  Under those circumstances, the code should be available for the discount again.  Just remember - any one account only gets one use, that's it.  And I have no idea what D&D would do if they got wise to the scheme - but since Syd himself said they don't read the boards, what are the chances?  :))

You should try order using new account.
I'm not sure why the code doesn't work for some people and work for some people.
It might be because the code valid only once.

It's sounding like the D&D fancy code may be expired, but we need a solid confirmation of this.

Yeah, it seems to have expired for me, too. I'll put it up as a possible expiration.

i just tried messing around with d&d's fancy426 code. i find that if you enter it as a guest it doesnt work. but if you use it on an account that hasnt used it before then it works fine. i believe they disabled this code for guest accounts in order to prevent people from using it more than once. ellusionist doesnt have this so you can use their codes as many times as you want on guest accounts but d&d won't let you. every time you use that code you need a new account.

i know it still works cuz i just tried applying it to an order on my account, but when i try it after i log out it doesn't work. it makes sense that they did this cuz i know ellusionist's codes get used by people more than once.

This makes perfect sense - I'm surprised that the other retailers haven't taken action to prevent this, since if you want to get technical, it's abusing the coupon code.  I'm sure they all meant them to be used only once, since your registered account will only allow it once.

So now we can notate it: "single use only, invalid for guest logins".

Lushbob, the Seasons code is valid.  It will work when the Seasons Deck website goes live, and will only be while supplies last - in other words, it's for the Seasons deck only, no other merchandise (assuming there will be any other merchandise).  That image I got by "liking" Seasons Playing Cards on Facebook; it's straight from the source.

Just a quick update: Bicycle Star released Friday Jan. 27.
PM me if you want a pair or a brick. ($7/$36)
They won't be available in USA stores, primarily intended by USPC for Asian market.
But I have em ... here's design: http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb3 ... leStar.jpg
A second Star will be available in September with a black Star.
Many will find the back design remarkably similar to the old Marlboro Texan.
The one-way design might not appeal to a lot of folks but the card quality is solid: standard Bike faces, and Air Cushion finish with magic coating.

Your link to the photo doesn't work for me, unfortunately.

WE have pictures of both decks, in the topic about Bicycle Star.

They're also on the Chinese website promoting USPC products, which I think is linked to in the same topic.  Black Star isn't out until next month.

Alright, thanks. I've updated it.
Sorry about the Seasons code - I read it on another thread before I saw your post with the picture, and I forgot to update it. Do you know what the website URL will be?

No - the site hasn't been created yet.  I believe IAmTheChin is the designer of the deck; you can PM him.

I'm sorry, I remembered now that I saw them once.
But, I didn't remember the name of the black star. So I though it was a new deck different from what I saw.
(I thought star deck has 2 versions and the black star deck is another series.)

Is that emoticon a person bowing, or someone sitting on their butt with their hands at their sides?   ;D

Red Star and Black Star are both the Bicycle Star decks.  The Chinese website where I spotted them stated that the red ones are a design from 1893 called "Margin Star No. 1" and the Black Star is simply a new color scheme based on the classic.  Anyone who bought the Marlboro promotional Texan decks will recognize this design, since it was on that deck as well.

It looks like these are a Chinese-retail exclusive from USPC, since they're now operating a website in China and I'm guessing they've started selling there at retail.  It's not hard to imagine why a deck with a big red star on the back would be popular there...  :))

A new item worth noting:

Pokerstud52, a popular eBay seller with a good selection and reasonable prices, has started appearing here as a user.  He has a standing offer - contact him DIRECTLY for decks you want to buy (instead of buying them from eBay) and in exchange for saving him some eBay fees he'll shoot you a 10% discount on your purchase.

His ID here is the same as on eBay - pokerstud52 - and I've purchased from him before; he's prompt and reliable, not to mention friendly.  Use his eBay shop to browse, PM him when you're ready to buy.

It's not technically a coupon code, but it's definitely a discount and worth putting in the first post.
