So. I checked the D&D coupon code theory. As long as you buy at least one item other than decks, you can get a coupon on your whole order with the fancy426 code. I tried it with IAOCP book and deck, 3 studs, and 1 VB #6. Without the IAOCP book, I can't apply the code, but with it, I can apply it without problem.

The Diamond Jim Tyler DOOMSDAY deck is now available on his website.  It's a bit pricey, and there's a limited-edition silver-edged version as well.  For what he's charging, it should be more customized than it is, but hey, it's his deck, whatever.  I just know I'm not getting it.  I wrote a little more on the Doomsday deck topic.

Is there any other useless and off-topic trivia you'd like to share with the class?  Unless you have something useful to say, don't go and post the first thought that comes to your mind, particularly if it's the same tired plea we've heard too many times from too many people about how they want something but can't afford it!  NEWS FLASH - we ALL want SOMETHING that we can't afford!!!  I'm sure even Donald Trump and Warren Buffett want things that they can't afford!  Reminders of this fact are NOT required.

But have you ever used the code before?  That's one of the many mysteries we're trying to sort out about this code.  And by "apply", did you mean testing it out by tossing things in the cart but not completing an order, or did you make an actual purchase?  The system may respond differently if you're actually buying - some sites are getting wise to people trying to figure out things like this.  I remember one site, I think it was Blaine's, where I tried to determine the quantity left of an item by plugging in a huge number and attempting an order, but my attempt was rejected - it wouldn't allow the quantity.

I was just testing it. I didn't buy anything for real. I just put them in my cart just to try. However I think this is logical. Most people go to D&D to buy cards. They find out they can't use the code, they add a book, and it works. And D&D has just made some extra money!

the code works but if u look closely, the discount is only applied to the book and the other non-card items. the cards themselves are not discounted (unless of course u get a quantity discount but thats separate from the the fancy426 code).

If it's not too personal, show us your receipt (with personal information removed) so we can do the math and see what's what.  You can't both be correct.

The Blue Crown representative already addressed the issue in the Vaudeville thread. Use of the coupon was stopped because it was being used by too many people. It was only meant to be used by people who it was given to, not released to everyone. He also said that if you were one of the people who were meant to be able to use the code (i.e. were emailed it by The Blue Crown) then they would sort something out with your order, so if that's you then I'm sure you can email them and ask.

Don't see this on your list anywhere but apparently Bedeceived will have a new deck coming out later this year, the Mystery Deck. Also didn't see the Blue Bloods or Ultra Ape decks on your list.

Markets go up and they go down.  If the market was in a constant rise of activity, it becomes very difficult to generate suspense or excitement about new releases.  Besides, maybe the lull is a sign that card companies noticed the influx of custom decks on the market and decided that in order to ensure success they had to take a step back and really design something worth purchasing over everything else.  Maybe.
