I think I've mentioned this once before - I toss in a "placeholder" post when updating the NDR, because it edits easier in the topic view rather than the create post view. So, be vewy, vewy qwiet; I'm hunting pwaying cawds...
I've decided that, since I have this post lying around anyway, let me add an update on all the fully-funded and closed Kickstarter projects from their Updates list, in order of their promised release month.
COMPLETED KICKSTARTER PROJECTS - WHERE ARE THEY NOW?Dec 2012Bicycle Asylum - The creator posted earlier this month that a "former associate" absconded with some of the funds and is pursuing legal action against him. Meanwhile, the decks are printed at USPC and he expects to have all of the decks by the end of this month.
Jan 2013Bicycle CORE Playing Cards - In mid-February, the creator stated that the cards arrived from USPC and would send out surveys within a few days. No new posts, and I haven't found anyone selling them yet.
Feb 2013Bicycle Army Men - as of early this month, the creator was issued a cease-and-desist letter and has been in a legal battle with another company over the deck's design. Expect some minor redesign work before the project hits the presses in the near future, assuming the legal issues get sorted.
Bicycle Apocalyptica Chromatics - the creator posted TODAY that they're on sale now at
Amazon! It's one of a few decks I need to put on the 2013 list.
Postumo - earlier this week the creator received the decks - the red and green backs are gorgeous, while the silver backs have printing flaws and will need to be reprinted. Red and green deck backers should have theirs shipped soon if not already. I think we can call this one released as well.
Mar 2013Bicycle Urban Punk - should be shipping now, decks arrived mid-month, dice, shirts and other goodies are squared away (they had to switch shirt printers) and we can call this project released.
Bicycle The Lumberjacks - I don't even need to look; BMPW's had them on sale for a few days already.
Dicecards - Looks like as of a few days ago they're experience shipping delays, but since I'm not a backer I can only read the title of the update, not the text.
Creature Cards - updated a week ago; surveys should have gone out this week, printing delays are pushing the ship date to late April.
Apr 2013Bicycle Amazing Adventures - Decks are printed, awaiting arrival - appears to be on time so far.
Bicycle The Hedge (standard and stripper) - had some Amazon Payment issues early this month, but by mid-month, he was already sending out forms to get shipping addresses.
Polaris - as of late Feb., he was offering a "2nd Chance" for people to invest and get his decks at the KS price. There was also a party for investors that weekend in Los Angeles. No new updates since.
Tavern Cards - Still in the design/art stage, as of a few days ago.
May 2013Bicycle Divine - the updates are all backers-only with cryptic titles that reveal little of what they're about. Last update was about two weeks ago.
Jun 2013Bicycle 8-Bit - many of their updates are private, but they did reveal to the public that all four decks are finished being printed. The deck went into pre-orders eariler this month.
New York Lights - private updates for backers only, last one made two weeks ago.
Bicycle Steampunk Cthulhu - yet another all-private list of updates, most recent one being from midweek.
Bicycle The White Rabbit - early this month he reports that after a few tweaks his designs were accepted at USPC and he's awaiting production, stating he'd release a new update when the cards and tucks were being printed.
Jul 2013Boss Playing Cards - There's not too much on the cards, since the project's main focus was on creating art instruction materials, but they are working with USPC's European rep and say things are moving along fine.
Founders - As of mid-month, the design has been submitted to USPC and they were awaiting some backers' funding to clear through Amazon Payments whose charges were not yet cleared.
Mirror Deck - as of a few days ago, the ducks were all in a row at USPC and all that remained was getting the funds from Amazon before proceeding with the print work.
Aug 2013Zombie Shuffle - Since the close there's been one update, backers only, titled "Print and Play Zombie Shuffle" made about a week ago.
