I don't think Green was 10k. It sold out in 23 minutes.

I hate when they don't tell us that.

Well you know why they do that don't you, its so they can say "limited and rare" when in reality it isn't.  Which is why i like when AetherCards or Lance T Miller for example telling you how many decks are made, and Lance taking it to an extreme by numbering each deck.

Let's look at the other side.
By telling people how many were made might affect the price of the sold out deck for the resellers.
So, maybe we should consider that people who are buying it, buy it because of the look and feel of the deck and for resell, then why is the point of knowing how many were made.

(However I still wanna know too)

The point of knowing how many are made is to know whether it's some mass produced crappy bike deck or a nice amazing deck. IMO

I like that BC has a solid site with solid servers but E decks have more appeal and better handling. As does DD

The v6's handle very well, as do most of the other smoke and mirrors. I like them better than arcanes because they're lighter and more flexible, arcanes are still pretty solid though.

I started off in this card business pretty recently with Theory11. I still think the Sentinels are gorgeous, just love the design, but if I look at my stack of decks and which ones handle the best, I think I have to go with Ellusionist. The Artifice, Tally Ho Vipers and Arcanes just work amazing for me. I only have one D&D deck, Fantastique and those handle nicely but tend to get slightly more bendy than the Ellusionist cards.

Luckily, we have so many awesome choices these days with so many cool projects, especially from the small guys like Vortex, Seasons, Mana, Actuators etc. The big dogs are going to have to step it up to stay at the top.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

  • Facebook:
D&D: nice simple design on the later decks.  Just not many decks offered, and all of them limited editions.  I LOVED the special pro-cut stripper decks they were selling, with a stripped edge angle so shallow a pro card worker would have a very hard time spotting them in action; I regret not getting the red Bees before they sold out.  But their library - I'm drooling over many of the books they offer.

Theory 11: They have some great designs.  Among my favorite decks from them would be the Guardians (they're one of my "go-to" decks now) and Propaganda (gotta love that Tally-Ho stock).

Ellusionist: they were my first - it's because of them (curse them!) that I got into magic and card collecting less than a year ago.  What can I say, I love their stuff, and their Brad Christian videos, cheesy as they can be at times, do provide some good basics for the beginning magician.

David Blaine: his decks are good.  My always-in-my-pocket stripper deck is his "Discover Magic" deck - imagine having a pack of blue Split Spades Lions that's still available for as little as $5?!?  And they're STRIPPERS, too!  His other designs are great stuff and I like some of the special deals with the signed decks and stuff - whenever his designs sell out, he's usually offering some with autographs at slightly higher prices.  It's cool to whip out a deck signed by a major magic talent, no?

Retailers/after-market?  My faves are BMPokerworld and The1EyedJack.  They get damn near everything I want and sometimes the prices are pretty sweet.  Plus I've been doing some trades with One-Eye; he sounds like a nice guy.
