Hello all,

I'd like to introduce 'Brain Vessel' to the family of 'the Discourse'.  We are two creatives located in Pennsylvania.  We love to create 'out of the box' and NOW...'In the box' ideas in the for of a Bicycle Deck.  Our most recent venture, tapping into the creation of a nautical themed deck titled, "Sails and Tales".
The illustration of this deck is being executed by 'lead animator/illustrator', navigated by myself(Creative director) and a cleverly written captains log our wordsmith and NOW official 'DeckHand'.

Our deck consists of 36 UNIQUE illustrations.  We have been squeezing the creation of this deck in between putting food on our tables, for the past 4 months.  We thought it'd be best to join the community and begin gathering some new friends to sail the seas of this nautical adventure.

Stop by of Facebook page for some sneak peeks and our website to get a grip on who we are.  Thanks for letting us in, hope to circle back to each and everyone supporting what we feel is the beginning of something special!

That's a rockin' deck of cards, from the looks of it.  So, 36 original illustrations - and 16 unoriginal ones?  :))

Thank you.  Well, no...haha they are all original but as with most decks there are repeating/duplicates elements.
We are really proud of this deck and should be launching next week.

That looks awesome! :O

36 unique illustrations, let me guess,

4 aces, 9 red numbers, 9 blue/black numbers, 12 courts, 2 jokers. Only way this makes sense =D

Hello all.  As we mentioned on previous threads, WE ARE LISTENING.  Now we would like to get your overall opinions about the 2 alternative design of the back.  Thanks for everyones input.  (Event the texture and the map is reversed, now it comes down to preference of design!)  Pips or no pips...that is thy question?

I would probably be best to keep the deck info to the deck topic - it makes it easier to find everything in a single topic rather than hunting it down on different boards/topics.  The only exception is when a deck is still in the design stage and transitions to either production or Kickstarter - it would start in a Design/Dev topic and a new topic would be made in the PCP when the launch was ready to go.

Don,
Thank you for the response.  My apologies, I am a 'Newbie' to forums and not necessarily aware of all the do's & don't or unwritten rules.  :)

USPC's default finish for custom deck projects is Magic Finish on an embossed stock.  You actually have to request the old standard finish!

I don't know Don.  From the information I got from USPCC, It's either Embossed or Smooth as the finish.  People seem to think there is some kind of finish sprayed on the cards which doesn't seem to be true.  I'll double check with Tiffany.
