Hey everyone,

My name is Barry and I feel slightly weird for doing this. I've been collecting cards for a while now - and have around 150-200 different decks. I have to do a restock soon.

I live in London and am studying towards a Maths Degree.

Magic is what got me in to cards, but gambling cheats is where my passion lies now. Phantoms of the Card table is probably my favourite book.

To pick a favourite deck is too hard, but I recently opened a Karnival Delirium and remembered the art of cards (it mixed design and art with the style of a bee deck almost).

That's me in a nut shell, I hope to get to know you guys better.

Welcome to the forum Barry I'm a new collector and I can easily say these ladies and gentlemen have taught me tons. I am sure you will like it here 

I saw Nurul bring up football and am hoping that you are neither a Chelsea or an Arsenal supporter. This is coming from a big Manchester United fan. I was in London this past August. Thought it was a beautiful spot. I have quite a large family over there between London and Birmingham. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up moving there after school.

It's nice to see you are all so welcoming! I'll try to answer as many questions as possible - Favourite trick I do tends to be a David Blaine inspired trick - you turn the ace of something into the 8 of something because you misheard them (basically his ace of hearts trick without the gaff card).

I Live in the East End at the moment, and I support Chelsea although we aren't playing great right now. I also support Ajax and Inter but to a lesser extent.

My collection has two wings - loads of novelty/non uspcc decks that friends and family pick up as gifts and then the uspcc side. I collect by company and by design - so I'll buy a E deck unless it is so so so awful, and I'll buy a really nice deck from an independent guy - all if I have the money. The two companies I stay clear of is Dan and Dave and De'vo. Just not interested and the S&M's grew tiresome quickly... So did Fultons... So did the costs. I just ordered nearly 20 decks from theory11, pledged for four Sherlocks and picked up some Karnival cards - I'll take a break now until around february where I will buy a haul to stock up on all the cheap decks and the charity decks).

And yes, you can call me Baz.

Chelsea aren't doing so bad. 2nd in the league. Not a fan of Chelsea, but I'm a fan of mourinho, I had them down as favourites to win at the start of the season.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. They are always a favorite. I can't say I'm too pleased with Utd though. Letting me down big time. It's tough here in the US trying to catch all the games when they are at 7 or 8 in the morning. I do my best though. Who do you support Nurul?

I'm a united fan too, and yes I'm disappointed with them as well. Don't really like moyes much, even when he was at Everton. He style just does not suit united. Ok, they're unbeaten for a good run of games, but score draws aren't helping the team climb up the table.

Draws don't help much unless you're near the bottom of the table or in relegation. There is still a long season ahead of them. I wonder if Arsenal are going to slow down a bit. They are on a killer pace to start.

Yes it was. I didn't catch the games but I was checking out the results earlier. Utd down 12 points now. Very disappointing. Chelsea were part of a large scoring game. Must have been a total shoot out. Nice to pull out a win against the bottom team in the league; even if it was only by a goal.
