Is DanandDave's Deck of the month club worth it, one deck a month for a total of $95.94 prepaid. A worthy investment, or a waste of money?

A waste of money in my opinion. What guarantee is there about which decks you receive? I guess you may save on shipping, but best case scenario you get a mixed brick of new releases for $100.

You'll often see brick sales much better being sold for that price.

I don't think you should buy that too.
You might got something like aladdin, who knows?

According to the description they send you a -new- release every month. However, I think we all know the decks that D&D enjoy, and those are sold by T11, CARC, and other big retailers which we have absolutely no problems buying from directly. I absolutely adore a lot of D&D products - this one just personally isn't for me.

However, if you only buy one of each deck and want to save a couple bucks on shipping, I say go for it.

It depends how much your really enjoy collecting cards.  its much like subscribing to a magazine.  You get and issue every month and its all a matter deciding if you find value in it.

I'd much rather pick and choose what I purchase.

And what if they sent me a deck I already own.

Hmmm, then I wish you a good luck.
By the way, did you buy the D&D membership?
Maybe buying membership could give you more advantage than this one.

I didn't get the membership. It only lasts for a year, and I don't spend enough on their site to make it worth it.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

I couldn't fathom the idea of the Deck of the Month Club myself.  I usually buy at least two packs of any deck I get, and I like getting the color variety if there's more than one.  DotM doesn't appear to cover those contingencies.  You don't know what's going to show up or how much you'll love it or hate it.
