The only thing that confuses me is that it states they won't be available individually... the black label and red and both are on the site and available now.

I think what they mean is you technically can only purchase the decks in sets of two under usual circumstances.
Starting to get better...have to stay dedicated...can't lose any more cards in the middle of a trick.  Literally, completely lost a card.

Unless you want only three, might as well get the nice box with the dozen: http://shop.davidblaine.com/products/limited-edition-white-lions-collectors-box

Maybe someday they will sell out of those things and someone will actually get the 15-minute Skype with Blaine.

Thanks for the heads up, CBJ! I was thinking of getting the trick decks anyway, so this came at the opportune moment.

That's a point well made :) Missed that.

Consider shopping around for the trick decks.  I've seen them selling elsewhere for less - though he does sign these if I remember correctly, so maybe that makes them worth the extra dosh to you; only you can answer that.

But yeah, nice deal.  I want some, have to see how it fits into my finances.

Thanks for the advice Don - I have shopped around for those decks and found the cheapest prices are offered by different sellers. Since I'm international, it would be better for me to buy them + the White Lions from one source so that I can save on shipping. His signature is icing on the cake!

Just did a little math.  That boxed set is $20 more expensive than buying four sets of three with the holiday special.  It's a nice box, but I don't think it's worth $20 even with David's signature!

Yes, ONE person gets to Skype with David.  Chosen randomly.  It's a lottery ticket and a box that costs $20.

Thanks for sharing! I like the deck but I actually like the silver splitting spades deck a little bit better.

David never released the print run size but I'd estimate it to be in the low five figures.  Bear in mind, too, that he keeps a healthy share of those decks for personal use/abuse.

Are those 3 "learn magic" decks worth it for $20, i don't even know what backs they have.  I mean, a gaff deck, a marked deck, and a svengali deck for $20 seems like a pretty good deal?

The "gaff deck" is really a stripper deck.

All the decks are patterned after the Split Spades Lions.  Same backs and faces, different extra cards and in some cases, fewer jokers.

The stripper deck is in blue.
The marked deck is in black.
The Svengali deck is in red.

The marked deck uses a "plaintext" marking system - no pattern/system to memorize, just one specific part of the card back to look at and the suit and value are written out plainly.  It wouldn't pass heavy scrutiny, but if you whipped it out for a quick trick and put it away, you'd get away with it.  Certainly don't use it for poker - you might get away with it if your players were unobservant enough, but I wouldn't count on it.  It's a nice marked deck, but not on par with something like GT Speedreaders or the Ultimate Marked Deck.
