Good 'ol modern-closeup-angleshot, so trendy and cutting edge.

I like the little that we can see of the back. I'll need more than a tease to decide if I want the deck though.

It's almost like an early April fools joke or something, haha.

According to Wikipedia:
The alvus, among anatomists, has sometimes been used to refer to the intestinal tube, from the stomach to the anus. Alvus, in a medical sense, is taken from the state and condition of the feces, or excrements contained within that cavity.

I dunno what's up with that name :S

Ah thank you for clearing that up. I see the beehive now. Is it true there's another artist working on this?

EDIT: I see it's actually written in the teaser lol

On that note, who is the new artist?

Alvus - Latin for Beehive

I don't know if you did the full research on the word Alvus.  Maybe you would like to change it to Alveus.  Im sure there are not a lot of latin speakers here.  God only knows why I took it in High School for 3 years.  :o  But anyways Alveus would not be able to be taken out of context for something like a poop.

I like the looks of the deck pretty sweet from what I see just figured I would let you know.

1st off, I like the design very much, I like the intricacy.

Second, all the hoopla over the name, it can be adjusted if needed, but please see below....

Okay.. Yes because all the latin you know is from a website. This is what is on a more accurate dictionary and is also what is in the latin to english dictionary on my bookshelf.

I made one comment don't be a drama queen. No hoopla just being honest.  When I heard the word alvus I remembered a different meaning.  It all depends on the context used but I'm sure you wouldn't know that because you only know latin from what you look up online.  So if an online definition is what you look for here it is...

---------------------

alvus, alvi
#1
noun
declension: 2nd declension
gender: common
Definitions:
beehive
belly/paunch/stomach
bowel
bowel movement
cavity
hull (ship)
womb

-------------------------------

alveus, alvei
#2
noun
declension: 2nd declension
gender: masculine
Definitions:
beehive
canoe
cavity, hollow
gameboard
trough, bowl, tray
tub

LOL, no drama, just pointing it out....it's really not that big a deal, I'm just saying it's a name, it can be adjusted, corrected, if Jackson and Co. decide to do so. And the "Hoopla" was in general, not about you.

Beehive comes before poop on both, so I think it's all good. Now back to the cards. Pretty sweet. Do we know who the artist is?

Not that it matters, but just because it comes first does not mean that it is more or less correct.  Its about context and how it is used.  Same goes for a lot of english words.  I originally thought it meant stomach.  After looking further into the etymology I thought Alveus would be more suitable for the lack of poop, and also learning that it meant gameboard which also fits the context of playing cards.

But as for the cards they look sweet as stated before.  Who ever the artist is congrats!

Oooh - could this be related to the Encarded collaboration that was teased a while back...?

Looks like a very clean design, looking forward to seeing more of it!

I don't think Paul would be referred to as a "Kings Wild artist".

No, we continue to be distracted by our own works and don't have a full concept at the moment. This new deck is something else entirely, but quite lovely. I think you will all like it a lot.

  • Charm gets you quite far. Guile gets you the rest.
Very excited for Kings Wild's new intestine-poop cards!

Seriously though it's not bad looking; interested to see more.
Kickstarter completely revolutionized the way I waste money.

The people who handle playing cards are always in a world of delicate fingertip technology.
