TouchOfModern.com is having and Ellusionist sale including Ignite, Fathom and Arcane playing cards. They only last till 29th January 2014. Here is the link.

https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales/ellusionist--3

Apparently they have had similar sales sometime ago.

Here: https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales/ellusionist--2

And here: https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales/ellusionist

P.S. One question regarding the Arcanes. I have attached a picture which shows the AoS of both decks. Apparently they have the word "Arcane" printed on both colors but my UV-500 white Arcanes don't have the word "Arcane". they look so much nice with them there.

It's entirely possible they tweaked the design a little when they changed the stock.  I couldn't tell you since I don't have any Arcane decks that old; I started buying when they'd already switched to Air Cushion.  I remember having to wait because they were sold out of the white Arcane - when they returned, while the boxes still said "Air Cushion", the finish was changed to Performance Coating.

In related news, the site also has the "Ultimate Deck" for $18.

I like to call paper coatings a finish. It makes Don happy.

Let's change this thread to a TouchOfModern thread that has news about cards that are sold there. Maybe this can even be stickied (just saying).

Nice find. Love the artwork on that deck.

I personally like that idea. I get TofM e-mails daily, but I never see any cards offered in them. They have pretty good deals and other than taking a pretty long time to actually ship the cards (Which they are clear about up front), I have had pretty good success ordering cards from them in the past.

What about just a "Deals" thread?

Done.  I'll rename the thread. - Oh, wait, someone beat me to it!

It's interesting that this design company has been promoting and selling modern custom playing card decks.  To my knowledge, it's a first.

Don, Fab.com has kept Steampunk and Rebel decks in stock for a few months now. It used to be $5.75 for a set of silver and bronze Steampunks and $9.50 for two Rebels, but the prices have gone up recently. It's $11.90 and $13.90 respectively for 2 Steampunks and 2 Rebels now. They also have the Helveticards.

By it being a first, I'm referring to how I don't see a whole lot of other cool design shops selling stuff from companies like Dan and Dave or Theory11 - and this company was doing it before Fab.com.  Even thinkgeek.com has been selling custom decks, but not as many designers or makers as ToM.

It's an uncommon thing, is the point, but it appears to be becoming more common.

Thinkgeek sells decks? I gotta be more alert.  Lol.  Sometimes I even miss the Tom ones.  I should really check daily...

I wouldn't sweat it much - they tend to sell decks that are already widely available, and they don't sell them all the time or even all that often, unless it's a movie/TV tie-in product like a Game of Thrones deck, etc.

ToM does offer some nice deals on decks, the Ultimate deck is great at the $18.00 price point and shipping is reasonable, but they still haven't figured out how to package cards for shipping. They are just tossed in a "Loosely" padded envelope and nothing else. The padding gets all over the cello (Grey Fluff stuffing) and from my experience, and I'm not sure if it was due to the cold or if they were factory seconds or what, but the seals were unglued from the tuck on one side and on one of the decks broken along the perforation. (4 Ultimate Decks)

All that being said, this is just my one time experience with them.

For those who haven't seen, Federal 52 Silver Certificate and Reserve Note decks are on sale for $22/deck (plus shipping) through Touch of Modern. Although the pics show the unbranded and branded versions in the same pic, I would bet that these are the unbranded edition.

With $22 +$4 for each deck (I have no idea why they don't habr combined shipping costs), it may be cheaper to buy from Jackson's website if ordering more than one deck. Plus,  you can still use the 10% off code at King's Wild.

That's a good point, I didn't realize that the prices were so similar. I had a TofM coupon, so I saved on my order but for the silver cents (at least to my address...others' mileage may vary), Jackson's site is 50 cents cheaper overall for two decks and shipping, and the savings would be more substantial for a larger order (combined shipping) provided that he had a coupon in effect at the time of the order.

Not to mention ToM packaging leaves a lot to be desired.

I've ordered quite a few decks from them (probably 3 dozen total) and (although I may be VERY lucky) I've never had one arrive damaged. If you plan on opening them and using them, it probably wouldn't make a difference if a corner of the tuck had a ding.

So, how often do they offer cards?  I've signed up for their announcements, and seen some pretty cool stuff.  Not that I can afford most of it, but there are a few things I'd like to pick up.

I see them pop up every few months or so. I have their mobile app and enjoy seeing what they put on there. I got a few decks from them a couple weeks ago and don't have any complaints.

I agree, they are a bit random. Sometimes they are a lead item and you see it in the e-mail title. Sometimes they are tucked away at the very bottom of the listing, you just have to check each e-mail thoroughly. As someone pointed out earlier, you also have to know current pricing for the decks that they offer. They offered Fed52 decks once in the past, but Jackson had the decks on sale on his site for the same price. It's always best to support the artist when possible. TofM doesn't pack things terribly well, although most survive unscathed. Also note that they take forever and a day to ship, often several weeks, so be prepared to wait.

Offering singles of each deck ($11.99), both decks together($21.99), the collector's box of the two ($57.99) and uncuts of each ($35.99).

I don't think they sold as well as the original sets did.
