It reminds me of that other dragon deck a while back...  The design is nice,  but it's just not for me.  Doubt I will be pledging.

Just like their past decks, I still can't relate to these. I guess the books from where they get their themes aren't very popular in the Philippines.

You're from the Philippines? :D I was born in the Philippines. Lol.

I used to read a lot, but I haven't heard of this book... or Name of the Wind. I guess I haven't been keeping up. I usually like reading books from the fanatasy genre.

It's not hard to see how you might have missed it.  Publishers are churning out young-adult fantasy series books intentionally designed to have an appeal that reaches beyond the target market at many times the rate at which Kickstarter churns out new decks!  Every one of them wants to print the next Harry Potter, Twilight or Hunger Games.  Any one large publisher probably uses more paper in a year than USPC uses in a decade!

Errrr.....correct in general but not specifically. Name of the Wind is not particularly young adult, though I'm sure many young adults would enjoy it. It's a great read, if you like fantasy.

The line between young adult and adult, particularly in genres like fantasy and science fiction, gets blurrier by the month.  There are accessible adult books and broadly-appealing young adult books coming out all the time.  Publishers love it - bigger target market as well as greater potential for a movie series crossover.

Yup. It's hard to tell because of my Japanese name. Even people from the Philippines doubt I'm Filipino.
Maybe I should give Name of the Wind a read.

I slightly like the tuck box though. But I just don't get the backs. A skull with a fairy? This deck is really something for fanboys I guess.

I like this deck but am unsure if I will back due to the requirement to purchase the box of stuff. I'm not a coin, dice & miniature collector. I collect decks of playing cards. I just don't know what I'll do here. Maybe I'll just wait to see if they show up on their website after the project.

Yashi - Where do I find these fanboys?  I've heard of this group of unscrupulous playing card buyers.

I like the back.  Mostly dark with a little color.  The fairy is telling a little story with water coming out of her hands.  Hell, I would say that would be a pretty good tattoo.   You can't say that for most backs.  However, I don't like the KoS.  The dragon looks upside down.  Am I suppose to be looking at the top or bottom.  Cards should be consistent.
