Don't get me wrong, I think Matt is a nice guy.  But that budget seems awfully restrictive considering he's making two deck designs, each totally different in that they require separate sets of plates, dice, a special collector's box and a minted coin.  He also comments that an uncut sheet is CHEAPER than a deck - I've never known that to be the case with USPC.

I like the design and don't want to see it fail.

Your correct... uncut sheets are not cheaper than a deck. They should be! There's less work being done to it. It's like buying a loaf of bread that hasn't been cut and paying almost double the price. They would be an affordable add-on if it wasn't for them making you buy 25 of them.

15K will print both decks, pay for the boxes, coins and dice, and cover transaction fees, to boot. There's even a margin for uncollected pledges. I reran the numbers a half-dozen times to make sure, because the last thing I need is to get stuck with less money than I need to pay the bills.

And you're right, Dan. Technically, the uncut sheet costs me a little more than a standard deck. But it still costs less to print, as in, it costs USPCC less than a deck of cards. Which is what I meant, but I take your point. I'll edit the project.

Why do so many people call me "Dan" when my name is "Don"?  :))

As I stated, I like the deck and don't want to see it fail.  If you've crossed the t's and dotted the i's then I'll take your word for it and hope that you have a blowout success that would cover any potential shortfall and leave you with some profit to boot.

Last time I got a quote was March of 2013. To do a 2 deck branded run- same art work, just different color was $14,500. That's not including any tax. KS/Amazon fees should be close to 10%. that would put you at $16k plus. Then add the coins, dice, boxes, US shipping, etc. International shipping doesn't help either. That's a direct subtraction from the funding. If your International shipping adds up to $1,000, then you possible funding drops to $14k. You will have a lot of decks leftover, and may profit in the long run, but you will be short on the project.
I wish you the best. Good luck.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

It's probably worse than that.  The past couple of years, USPC created price increases in January.  This year was no exception, I've been told by those who know.

It's entirely possible that you got a different quote than I did. When I say that 15K will cover both decks and all the add-ons, plus shipping and Kickstarter fees, I'm not guessing. I've done the math. It's not a miscalculation. It's not ignorant optimism. I'll have no problem paying for everything, even if I fund right at 15K on the button. Even if international shipping is $1,000.
