I'm working on just a personal deck for myself (probably getting it printed through makeplayingcards.com) but just wanted to get any opinions on what you guys think.

Hey

Even thought the courts appear as if were the product of a middle school art project, they have they own style and I like them!

I'd say keep the courts and continue that style throughout every card and you got yourself one cool personalized deck!

The back design looks a little too cut and paste and I personally would change it or at least alter the design a little.

Good luck

Reminds me of The Little Prince. :)
The backs are simple which isn't really bad since the courts aren't that complex either. You should make the back two-way though.
The courts look childish but they're not ugly. Like what Aptombstone said, they have their own style and you should keep them.
Overall, you seem to have a decent deck going for you.

Thanks... I think...  I'm trying to go with a borderless design as I do enjoy those, this was my first stab at doing the back and I did a mock up of it fanned and liked the way it looked (see attached).  Though I am open to suggestions.

I'll mess around with the back and see if I can change up the pattern slightly to make it work as a two way design, I didn't even think about the fact that it wasn't.

I'm glad you like the style, I'm calling it my "Doodle Dealers" which is why I'm going with the simple drawings.  They also supposed to be people or things that are close to me.  (The king is me and the queen is my wife by the way.)

Tweaked the back a little so it should be two way now.  I also am thinking about drawing up a bordered design.

I like the tweaks so far. And you know what, as you mentioned a super thin border around the back design would look even better. That is, unless you want to preserve the casino type feel the cards currently have.

It's not quite two way, though it is closer to it.  The top left corner has a few diamonds while the bottom right corner has spades.

It would be better if the tiny suits were larger and properly proportioned to allow for an easier-to-make two-way design.

Switched up the back design completely,  I really like how they look a little bit more "casinoy" (yay made up words).  I also made a simple one with a border.  If you are wondering about the "head" picture thing it is kind of my unofficial "logo" (I'm using a lot of quotation marks today) that I made up in high school and have always continued to doodle it on various things of mine.

Edit:  Also all of these are two way designs... er, just noticed the white behind one of the doodle dealer text is slightly off...

Also tweaked the old design so that it is now for sure a two way design.

Another change though I think I like this one the best.

Without a thin border at the least, you'll need more precise cutting than USPC offers to keep that back from being a one-way design.  If that's what you're aiming for, however, you're moving in the right direction!
