If the overall design looks different when rotated 180 degrees, it's said to be a one-way back design - the proper mathematical term is that it lacks the radial symmetry needed to make it a two-way design.  The design can be radially asymmetric in more than one way, meaning that more than a single portion of the design creates radial asymmetry, though it's usually more subtle to do so only in one specific area and in the smallest possible way that's still visually detectable for anyone knowing where to look.  For you to see "two different one-way designs," you'd have to be looking at two radially asymmetric card backs - I'm assuming you meant that two specific areas of the card back design create radial asymmetry.

Right, that was what I meant, two of the different design elements that this back consists of, creates radial asymmetry, when rotated 180 degrees. I should have been more clear with that.

So, is there just the one element that makes this deck one way?  or are there other points of difference that I missed? 

Either way, I'm pretty excited about this deck.  I will up my pledge when Noctis is reached and I can add them on.

If you look at the border of diamonds running around the outer edge of the design, you'll see that one side has little round things in the corners while the other side has little crescent moons.  You could call that two points of one-way design, but they're of the same design element, so I'm not sure I would say such.  But described in simplest terms, it's a one-way back.

The other place that is different is the circle of dots, on one half they are cut off by the circle with the symbol thingie, and the side circles too, but not at the other.

Ah, I finally see it.  In the image below I took the effort to identify and display the assorted one way markings.

The best one-way marks are usually at the corners of the card to allow for easy spotting, but sometimes spotting them is TOO easy and even laypeople can spot them.  These marks aren't the best hidden ones I've seen, but they're still small enough that it's unlikely anyone would spot them accidentally during your routine or poker game.

I received mine and couldn't help but pop a tuck last night. As cool as they all are and have been and will be, No Photos do these decks justice in my opinion. If you didn't get in on the KS, find a couple somewhere. You won't regret it with these. I've never said that before in my life and may never say it again. These absolutely warrant the comment though.

I've been playing around with my Heretics the last few days and although the cards are awesome, i have to confess I have grown to hate the tucks. I find that the way the base is glued with a fold on the inside means you have to insert the cards back in a certain way, and the tuck flap itself is difficult to get underneath the cut which holds it in place, and once there it comes out very easily. Really really not a fan of this tuck design.

The rest is rad though.

If you tilt the cards as you're placing them, you might avoid this problem.  I run into it sometimes with USPC decks; some silly flap at the bottom is impeding me from placing the whole deck in because it's like a sort of a jam stopping the cards from going all the way down.

I have a few decks which come with a tuck that makes it difficult to put the cards back in (mostly landscape tucks). For the Heretics, I just put in about 3/4 of the cards (against the back of the tuck) and then put in the rest. If I try and put them all in the tuck at the same time, I run into the same problem you mention, they hit the fold on the bottom. However, I've gotten used to putting them back in two steps, and given how nice tuck looks (and it feels pretty solid), I'm OK with that.
