Hi all,

I go by formula or form on most forums. I'm a professional magician and cardistry enthusiast. I dabble in "vintage" cards but I'm not a collector by any means. I've been doing magic for about 15 years and have been doing cardistry since the beginning pretty much. I was completely mystified by a french drop in school and have been learning ever since. I found this forum through google by accident when I was searching for a deck of cards.

Then it was a happy accident that led you here!  And accident or not, we're glad to have you.  There's a lot of information on the boards, so using the search feature should become standard for you soon enough.  When that fails, simply ask.  We were all newbies around here at some time or another, so we're understanding about it and welcome all newcomers.

Do you perform for a living or is it just a hobby? Been meaning to get a little more serious about my magic, may be nice to have people who could help and give me a few pointers.

For a living. I've studied under members of the Inner Magic Circle and spent time with people such as Ali Bongo, Paul Daniels, Martin Freedman as well as a few Vegas headliners and more recent success' such as Dynamo and Troy. I've performed for royalty and a long list of celebrities. So I have a bit of experience.

I'm from the last generation when the latest technology was VHS and you actually had to travel and read books to learn, before internet shopping became really popular and before YouTube existed.
