Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Me like! Supposed to be on KS this week.

As a resident of Oklahoma (Indian Territory) I have to say I am absolutely in awe of this deck. The Native American Art is beautiful.  Can't wait for this one!  :P

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

I think it's a little too much like his previous deck, "Believe".

I like the artwork very much.

It's going to be printed in Taiwan, and the cards will have the "classic finish" (rather than EPCC's "master finish"... and I'm assuming that's the same finish as the one used on Lawrence Sullivan's private reserve Sharps deck.

I'm definitely interested in this one.
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

I actually don't think this is all that similar to Believe. None of the elements feature the techno-theme of the prior deck, and I really like the Native American-themed courts. Assuming the price is right (and assuming he fulfilled his commitments to Believe), I expect to pick up two or three of these. :)
There are no 3's in rousselle. There are, however, two s's, two l's, two e's (but not in a row), an r, an o, and a u.

Agree, this looks like a must buy for me.  Great artwork, even if it does look a little less than 'authentic' (eyes, etc).

Wanted to let you know that you can pick up some of the Malam Playing Cards on our website

http://system6magic.com/collections/playing-cards/products/malamplayingcards

The cards came out great, and EPCC did a fantastic job on them. The Classic finish handles wonderfully! I have a limited amount available, and I think there are some Standard decks missing :( For those who don't know, we had to print two decks...so the Standard Edition ended up being its own run, and 1,000 were printed.

Thanks!

Michael

P.S. Be sure to say hello on Instagram @system6magic - love to see the images of cards that get posted!

I merged your topic with the existing topic on the cards - we try to keep each deck in the Plethora to a single topic, for ease of finding the info on it later.

Malam turned out to be very eye catching decks in my opinion. I'm quite happy with my decks and have even put a set in the "No Touchy" part of my collection. There really aren't many decks in that area of my collection. I'm saying it now, I think these will very likely find nomination in the PCF awards later this year.

If you are someone who missed out on the KS, I can't recommend them enough.
Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

Is it just me or does this deck seem reminiscent of the monarchs?

The back design ? Haha! I thought the same thing at first.

These cards are great tho, one of my favorites.

Many, many designs are similar to the Monarchs - the basics of the design are pretty common.  I think they did that intentionally, to make the design reminiscent of other classic designs.

Well, yeah - as I said, it's based on the classics, and the classics are popular design concepts.
