That would be a lot of fun to play with but, yea not much fun to purchase haha. I'd be all cellowrapping everything. :)
Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

“all machines were working when last used 10 years ago.”

That sounds so assuring...  :))

The good news is you can now make super limited runs of 100 decks or less (if the machine works that is).

This one's been through eBay three times now, with the price dropping each time.  It started at $65,000 and has dropped to $53,500 OBO.  The tricky part of this is when you buy the equipment, you have to pick it up in Stamford, Connecticut, USA and haul it to wherever you have a workshop.

This equipment must have been for boutique runs.  I'm also guessing that it's designed for printing only backs, not faces - they made mention of preprinted uncut sheets.  Plus for printing, you have to create plates, buy inks, etc.  Does the machine laminate the cards?  Can it handle the new laminates and inks (US EPA requires printers to use vegetable-based inks and laminates instead of petroleum)?

I read a bit closer - it is designed only for printing FOIL on the backs of premade cards!  Better still, you have plates only for making monograms - someone's initials!

You're gonna need a lot more than just this hardware if you want to be the next USPC...
