I think it might have something to do with this:

I'm not making the connection. It's a Sankey video about a new "torn corner" gimmick. No sign of David anywhere.
David?
I'm not sure why Daniel Madison's website is down. Maybe "Daniel" decided to take a nice vacation.
It's what I get for posting when I'm tired...
His statement, "goodbye", is indicative that he's leaving magic - which sounds odd to me, since he was a commercial success with his magic and decks, or at least seemed to be.
Its OK
I would not read into those one word tweets. He will be back.
He should not let it get to him. I'm sure its either an overreaction or he's just taking some personal time (vacation) and does not want any pending fulfillment's lingering while he's gone.
I believe this is what got Daniel aggravated per a YouTube comment to this video:

Hey amigos, a few of you have made comparions between the recent 'Angle Z' release, and my ideas on this video. But as many of my long-time fans know, I first created and taught this 'pre-torn corner principle' on my 'Underground Jam' DVD back in 2007 with my trick 'Uniquely,' where a torn corner changes places with a coin. It looks saweeet, and the corner reappears in an impossible location. Then in 2009, I used the same cool principle to create 'Piece de Reistance' on my 'Kaleidoscope' DVD. So I've actually taught this principle twice, on 2 different dvds, YEARS before the recent 'Angle Z' release. Just an FYI.

'ANGLE Z' involves a principal I first taught in my notes 'TWO' (2006) Then many times since. But I don't give a fcuk.
