Update from Lonnie,
My family owns a post card business in Michigan. We may be able to do it. The personality cards were put together from scanning a lot of information about it and i rewrote all of the text that I gleaned from a lot of information. I edit books for people sometimes. It wasn't to hard to write. I work day and night for nothing right now. Thanks for posting my updates!

Have you mentioned my suggestions regarding him getting an account?

I was curious to see how this project was doing, and so I headed back over to its Kickstarter page... and it's cancelled! Can't say I'm shocked, because it must have been painfully obvious to Lonnie that the funding goal was never going to be reached.

I wanted to check out the video one more time, just for old time's sake... but the video (and pretty much all text on the KS page) was removed. Instead, only the following iconic image remained:‎

Kinda disturbing...‎
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

To my knowledge, he never reapplied for an account - but I'd only see it if he didn't provide confirmation or got caught in the screening process using an email or IP address known to be used for spamming.

Hahahaha! Thank you so much for that brother!

+1 to you for providing that link. (By the way, only one L in my display name bro).

The more I I think about the card design, the more and more impractical it exposes itself to be...imagine trying to peak at the card to find out the value and suit. The entire card would need to be flipped over to know that!

That site lists him as being in Orlando, Florida.  Imagine if he were to opt to join 52+J and go to the convention in October...!

Lonnie the creator of "Counting the Cards" is planning a re-launch and is seeking advice and feedback.

"I am willing to change almost anything. I am looking for a name and theme. The black stone setting will probably be removed. Not sure what I should replace it with. I was thinking of a black knight in armour on a horse. I could use ideas."

I wanna add that he also wrote
Quote
I want to thank http://unitedcardists.com and http://www.playingcardforum.com and all my Facebook friends for helping me stay on track with this design. You all have been essential in my progress as a card designer even though the feedback has been very tough to handle sometimes, but it is necessary. I need continued feedback to update this design, so everyone can be proud of it! Thank you!

The name and the stone and setting will be changed. I need your help! Please leave some feedback!

Couple things, Lonnie Dalson Is a freaking awesome name. And if you read this Lonnie I plan on using it for a song I just sold as a pen name.

Im not  sure of Lonnie's vision or ultimate plan. It looks like he has pondered a few different directions from film making to card design. He is willing to stick his neck out, take tough criticism and appears to be searching for a form of expression.   Art at the core is for the  artist, the term "starving artist" wouldnt exist if it wasn't. (they would be called dumb dumbs that should of gone to business school.)

Whatever form of expression Lonnie settles on I hope he keeps in mind that money and funding do not correlate to artistic worth.
