I am looking for as old an edition as anyone can find (obviously finding a first edition would be amazing) but anyway, if anyone has an old copy, message me and we can talk price/shipping etc...

Thanks,

Jeff

If you're looking for collecting purposes, good luck.

If you're looking just because you want the original text, word for word, with the drawings, you need go no further than the e-book "Erdnaseum" edition recently released on Barnes & Noble's website.  I think Amazon has it as well.  It copies the original exactly, with a list of the known errata at the beginning.

Have you considered trying auction sites?  Not eBay, but sites dealing in real valuables, like Sotheby's and the like?  The link below is for a first edition up for auction:

And they have another copy from 2008 published by Dai Vernon.  Cloth hardcover in a leather slipcase.  But it's actually "Revelation" - Dai's annotated Erdnase.  The newest version still on sale would be more comprehensive if you were interested in possibly getting an annotated copy.

You can check in with Martinka & Co. at martinka.com - it's a magic house that also sells rarities at auction.

Hope this is at least pointing you in the right direction.

Thank you sir!

I am kind of looking for collectible reasons, but at the same time I really want to go through the entire book front to back so I think Ill try to pick up both... Revelation might be cool... that or the bible edition.

If you want a great bible edition, try the one made by the Conjuring Arts Research Center (CARC, conjuringarts.org).  They make a version called the "Indestructible Erdnase" - the cover is a vinyl-like material and the pages are thin plastic sheets that almost feel like they came from the tree.  This makes the book water-proof and tear-resistant!  Fits in a shirt pocket, slightly more expensive but worth it in my opinion.  Only wear and tear I've seen on mine so far is the gilding used to print the title on the cover is starting to wear off.  It also has the numbered lines, so when referencing anything from the book you can narrow it down to the exact lines of that section.  I take mine nearly everywhere.
