Feel free to petition him if you want, but the last word I heard about him and playing card design was that he was through.  It's been almost exactly a year since he sold this forum and AetherCards as a company is "parked," sort of - inactive but not entirely defunct, though he has no plans to revive it.  He also stopped collecting modern decks - just vintage for him, now - and he sold off a fair amount of his collection when he moved out of Las Vegas.  It's been months since I've heard from him, despite the fact that he does come to my neighborhood occasionally on trips as he still has family here.

What's stopping YOU from making the deck if you want it so much?  Alex only showed a back as a sneak preview - no faces, no tuck box.

What is this? Is it just a reproduction of this deck or something else?

If you search the forums, you might find it. Alex design the vortex deck and had plans to make a 2nd deck. Things did not go as planned though and Frost cant/wont accept that it wont be made.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

There's a few that pop in from time to time.  CBJ still posts, Curt is still on staff.  It really depends on your definition of "the old days," because to me, you're fairly new compared to those two I mentioned!

In response i have been trying to get someone to help me draw some concept art but to no success ?

I still stop in everyday, but I post very little on either forum anymore.

Here's the Harlequin Deck...

And here's a much larger version that you can zoom in on

The problem is not with cash the problem is that no one answers back .trying to get a hold on artists but they don't answer back .

The problem is not with cash the problem is that no one answers back .trying to get a hold on artists but they don't answer back .

If you didn't mention that it is a paying gig, artists will be far less motivated to answer.  You're talking about people who probably get inquiries from a lot of people about various aspects of their art - including a few nimrods who want them to work on spec or to pay them a percentage of "profits" with no guaranteed minimum.  If you don't state explicitly that they will be paid on delivery, they will assume you aren't paying and not bother replying.

Plus there's also some artists who just want to work on their own projects and don't take commissions.
