OK, Alex sent me the link which is a reveal teaser to the second Aether Cards deck.  I'm not going to post the image and I'm sure you'll all get to see it before long.  I'm going to give a little info and my own impressions; bear in mind, this was a teaser picture and my impressions could be way off what Alex is going for, and will probably be very different from your own.  If you ask a question, I'll respond to it but I'm trying to to give too much away here, so I might be kinda cryptic.  I like cryptic.

Actual info; these will have a pre-release sale so you can get in early just like the Vortex.  This will be coming sooner than most people are probably expecting (sooner than I was, anyway).  They will be fully customized and maintain the symmetry-pip layout of the Vortex.  That's all  :P

As for overall impressions; the Vortex deck is an out-there design.  It's very different to the norm.  The second deck doesn't seem to be going in that direction; it's certainly not your standard custom job and I strongly feel that it stands out amongst everything else that's going on but it's a refinement of, or maybe a new take on, things we have seen before.  It's more 'simple' but it's detailed and elegant and I think beautiful.  I'll say this; it really is my kind of deck and I'm already really excited for it.

Hmmm... I think these will have a solid release date by the time you're holding your Vortex decks.

The ONLY people that have seen the teaser are EZ and Kanped, the rest of you saw a teaser for Vortex v2, something that isn't coming out for a long time.

@CBJ: If you were an omni-mod you would! The entirety of the tuck box is posted in the staff boards, which I haven't yet made include mods too.

I will probably pick up 3 of these. I don't need 6 this time because it's not going to be limited I don't think.

I doubt if the money Alex will be making out of this venture would stretch to an unlimited run.  It's funny, though; you don't really know anything about them and are already talking purchases?  Worry about it later, man; for now, get hype.

Here is Hype Dog to help you

Lol, we have to get through the Vortex deck first, but if it isn't like 5,000 decks i meant like if it was 10 or more I would probably wouldn't get as much, but i'm sure the hype will start soon.

@Austin: It's going to be limited once more. 5k or less run. I am in no position to drop $40k on a run of cards.

Ok, so I will probably get about 6-8 decks again.

Why 40k? Is there more features in this deck then the last one?

$40-60k is the cost of a 30k run. 10k decks would cost roughly $30k to make.

The demand for Aether decks are simply not at the level of Ellusionist or T11. Our decks sell, and they sell damn well (4k/5k sold already through Kickstarter alone), but the profits made are minuscule and far from enough to fund a larger print.

A 30k run? Thats a ton! I was thinking like 10k... 15 at the most!

Someone suggested unlimited, 30k takes care of that. Maybe we can pull off a 10k run on the third deck?

That would sound nice considering the first 2 are 5k run then the third if we can sell enough of the second deck we could get a 10k run for number three.

Well, since Alex has made this public now, I may as well leave it here, too.  Awesome, right?

The box says 'Air Cushion Coating' and 'Premium /// Stock' (it's 3 numbers but I can't make them out.  829?).

Also, Alex told me that he wasn't sure if they were going to have borders or not.  Now, everyone should know I love borderless decks and I think that good design in that area has never really been done before but the last thing I want to do is hurt this deck's chances of being as successful as the first, so what do you guys think?

A lot about this deck is still undecided. The info revealed isn't 100% final. I'd say what you can make out in that image is 99% final though.

Very nice sleuthing on Kanped's part too!

I can get the box much clearer but you can read it anyway.  It's so annoying being able to see the stock without knowing what the numbers are to read up on it :).  Closest I can find is 929 which was used on the Blue Ribbon decks like a hundred years ago.

The numbers are purposefully a secret, I can say that right now. You got part of it right though.
