  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

Strictly speaking, this isn't a deck we discuss in the Plethora - it's usually dedicated to your typical "International Standard" faces, customized or simple.  In other words, a simple pack of 52 cards plus the jokers and ads.

But since you're here, what size will the end-result cards be, assuming you get funded?  I ask because there's already been a successful Hanafuda deck on KS that used much larger cards, a hybrid between poker and tarot sizes.  A traditional Hanafuda deck is quite tiny.  And how are you managing to accomplish this on such a low budget?

He probably realized the impracticality of trying to make a decent-quality deck - no, make that TWO decks - on a budget of only GB£2,000...

Hi
Yeah I had to cancel the Hanafuda project.
This was my first playing card project and I made a few mistakes which I couldn't rectify without canceling the project, There are now 4 people in our team and Hanafuda will be back up on kickstarter in the next 2 months..

we have also been working on some standard playings with the theme of Norse Mythology so please take a look and tell me what you think :-)..

Basic concept: good.

Level of completion: way too premature.  You need to work on this a lot more before Kickstarting it.  If you plan on selling the cards with just sketches instead of a full-color piece of art, you'll be facing an uphill battle to sell it.

Design: terrible.  Nobody making a functional deck of cards puts the value in one corner and the suit in the other.  Bad, bad...
