I agree, Don is wise.  But no matter how you spin it, I am forced into buying something I don't want.  No Sale.

Fortunately, missing my sale won't cost you a thing.

I really don't see the forcing thing here. It's not buy a brick or 2 to get a deck. I'm in at the $44 early bird, so I'm going to get 1 of each deck. No forced extra's of each. I know the Omnia Illumina was a stretch goal, and would have gotten 2 Oscura decks, but I assumed the stretch goal would be met.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Don is wise :)

Yes, Omnia Suprema is a special deck, made only for the Kickstarter campaign for the backers that want support me a lot and have limited item available only during the campaign (We're at day one and only 149/525 still available)
Like Don said is a mix of strategy and good-sense.

I thought that anyone wanted the limited edition should also want the two "regular" ones, so I decided to create the limited tiers with at least 2 normal decks + 1 limited.
To avoid that someone could buy Suprema in bulks to put them on eBay, I decided to limit the purchase to only 2 per backer.
Of course I already know I'll see some Suprema on ebay with a triplicate price, but at least I hope to give to everyone want it a fair chance to get it.

Consider you are getting 2 "regular" decks + 1 limited one for 47$ (44$ was the early bird, burned in few minutes), so the "real" cost of the limited is 23$ (wich I think it may be not cheap, but resonable, at least).

Hope this explain a little my strategy and my point of view. I'm not ashamed at all about my campaign and the choices I did, and I'm really, really happy with anyone supported it so far :)

By the way, we unlocked the white deck, Illumina, this morning and we're going to unlock the embossing for all the decks in the next minutes.

Thank you and have a great day (well, night for my part of the world)!

Giovanni

Well, to play devil's advocate here, you don't want to go too crazy with the deckage and other extras, my friend.  There is such a thing as deck overload, and when a project packs on deck after deck after deck, some backers will actually find it to be a turn-off - they want more of the new decks but simply can't shell out that much cash at once, even if they wanted to.  In fact, simplicity with a project tends to be the path to a more successful (and profitable) release.  There's less items to order, less items to track, less distraction overall.  So far, you're keeping it streamlined, which I like...

I'm not usually the type to splash out on add ons (because is it is, I purchase by the brick), and I usually dislike custom courts... but these decks are one of those ultra rare exceptions because the artwork is freakin' amazing, and each one of those decks is stunning.

I'm just trying to figure out whether to get more gold decks or white decks. I'm somewhat drawn to the white deck, because it reminds me a little of the Classic Gold, one of my favourites of recent times... but then again, that gold deck is pretty darn cool also. Ah to heck with it, I'll just buy a few extra of both! :D

The extra cards (revealed in the latest backer's update) are awesome also. I tend not to be too fussed about extra cards, but these ones are really look great. These decks are winners all the way. ‎

Giovanni, I'm not sure whether you've already clarified this or not, but will the Omnia decks be using EPCC's Master Finish or Classic Finish?

It's just that I checked on the main page of the campaign and couldn't see anything with regard to the finish on the cards. ‎
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

Hi Holy!

Wow, thank you for your kinds words! I'll post the extra cards here too, so everyone can see them :)

There is a table to add extra decks to your pledge, should be easy (I'm attaching it too). Of course feel free to message me on Kickstarter and tell me how many you want add, I'll be there to assist :)

You are right for the finish. I already added on the page, my bad - thanks for telling me. I'll use Master Finish, as Evil Deck and Delirium :) A very difficult choice, I have to say. Classic is beautiful too.

:)

Clearly, with all the success, you are doing something right here.  But I truly hope I never see another project listed like this again.  It is very frustrating to essentially gamble on what the reward is.

I don't gamble and it really bothers me when things are sold this way.

Please do not take it personally.  The artwork is stunning and the backers clearly agree.  I just wish it had not been so convoluted and tricky.

My problem, not yours.  I look forward to your next project.
