Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

That is very impressive!

I saw the initial teasers on Kardify, and I was looking forward to it ever since. The fact that they're being printed by EPCC is great.

I'll definitely be on board when it launches :D
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

Thank you HolyJJ!

I really like working with EPCC, they are not only the "printers", they advise me a lot about materials and printing techniques, and the printing quality is perfect. Glad you appreciate them too :)

Just out of curiosity, why so many changes from deck to deck for each individual court card?  They're practically three completely different decks, and that's before you even look at the backs.

Hi Don!

courts are the most inspiring part of a deck for me, and have different versions with different faces (not just a color swap) it's very important for me.
I wanted to invest a lot of time and energy in this project, to made every Omnia deck worth collecting. Hope you like it.

For everyone like Omnia: I just uploaded on my Facebook page a link for download iPhone (5,6) and Android Omnia Wallpaper. It's free and made just for fun, meanwhile we're waiting the Kickstarter :D

Hi there!

I finally have a launch date for Omnia Kickstarter: 2 June 2015, 7AM NYC time (around 13PM in Europe). Save the date ;)

A lot of Early Birds and limited tiers.

useful things to know:

- There will be 3 versions of Omnia: Omnia Oscura (unlimited), Omnia Suprema (limited, only 500 decks) and Omnia Illumina

- Omnia Suprema will be included in rewards with 2 or more "unlimited" decks (Omnia Oscura or, if unlocked, Oscura + Illumina)

- There are rewards with 2 Omnia Suprema

- All the decks are different: backs, tuck boxes and even faces. Jokers and aces are re-designed from scratches. Yes, all the courts are different.

- A lot of foil and metallic inks :)

- Queens are sexy :p

When the rest of the world wakes up, the other 4k will show up just as fast.

Definitely heading into the "funded in under 24 hours" club :D

It is a shame you can't get the Suprema deck without spending $44.  Oh well, maybe in the secondary market...

...where it will cost more because of scarcity?

It's an "incentive deck."  The concept is old, predating Kickstarter projects - Ellusionist's first rare deck, the Bicycle Black Ghost First Edition - couldn't be bought.  You had to be in the industry to get it - you had to "know someone who knows someone" or something like that.  Eventually, it became an incentive deck - you could get them by winning a contest, but most people got them by buying a certain amount of merchandise in a single purchase.  It motivates sales and, in the case of a KS project, jacks up the funding and makes it that much more of a success.

Do what many people did when they got the BG1E from Ellusionist - they made the purchase, got the deck, then sold the items they bought, making the deck itself a near-total freebie!  You can alternately just sell some of it, offsetting the added expense, and it's pretty clear based on present funding levels that there will be a demand for the "extra stuff" in the secondary market.

Fortunately for me, there is very little left that I must have so when a scheme like this comes up I just pass and they lose a sale.  The days of buying something I don't want just to get something I do want are long gone.  Sellers who think this is a good idea also turn me off so I tend to avoid them in future transactions.

Maybe I have just gotten stubborn in old age, but I was not really ever one to fall for marketing tricks.

Don is wise :)

Yes, Omnia Suprema is a special deck, made only for the Kickstarter campaign for the backers that want support me a lot and have limited item available only during the campaign (We're at day one and only 149/525 still available)
Like Don said is a mix of strategy and good-sense.

I thought that anyone wanted the limited edition should also want the two "regular" ones, so I decided to create the limited tiers with at least 2 normal decks + 1 limited.
To avoid that someone could buy Suprema in bulks to put them on eBay, I decided to limit the purchase to only 2 per backer.
Of course I already know I'll see some Suprema on ebay with a triplicate price, but at least I hope to give to everyone want it a fair chance to get it.

Consider you are getting 2 "regular" decks + 1 limited one for 47$ (44$ was the early bird, burned in few minutes), so the "real" cost of the limited is 23$ (wich I think it may be not cheap, but resonable, at least).

Hope this explain a little my strategy and my point of view. I'm not ashamed at all about my campaign and the choices I did, and I'm really, really happy with anyone supported it so far :)

By the way, we unlocked the white deck, Illumina, this morning and we're going to unlock the embossing for all the decks in the next minutes.

Thank you and have a great day (well, night for my part of the world)!

Giovanni

I agree, Don is wise.  But no matter how you spin it, I am forced into buying something I don't want.  No Sale.

Fortunately, missing my sale won't cost you a thing.
