I have my doubts about this one. First of all, the format he chose for the art is terrible - big ugly indices combined with thick-line frames around the art, as if the card wasn't small enough already. Second, he's saying USPC signed off on this - but did he get IP licensing from ALL the artists? Much of the pin up art from the '40s and '50s is still under copyright. Without that, USPC Legal will squash the project. He's not even including the credits for the artists responsible for the art.
It's a "don't back" for me, legal question notwithstanding. This type of work has been done before, and done better.
EDIT: just checked my email - it's from CollectablePlayingCards.com. They have put out more meh cards in the Bicycle brand in the past year or two than even Bill Merz - and that's no easy accomplishment, I tell ya.
