I started to design a new deck named Red Bike. A long time project.

Sketch of card back design:

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

Levent, your overall concepts for deck ideas are a little...light on substance, for lack of a better phrase.

However, I do have to say that some of your court "clothing" concepts are actually quite interesting.  Have you considered making a more simple, straightforward deck idea utilizing your court decorating skills?

How are you planning to fund your project?  While Kickstarter is the most popular crowdfunding platform, I checked and found that they're not taking projects from Turkey yet.

Don, thank you for your comment. Yes, my designs are simple, I think to change lines of royal portraits. I always like classic faces and do not want to change them too much, but I am going to try. Personally I do not like gothic designs, embossed pips and letters, metallic effects.

I want to publish them with my own fund.

Kickstarter is very good but I do not interest with templates.

Regarding Kickstarter, I don't understand what you mean by that.

Regarding publishing them with your own money, the minimum print run with USPC is about 2,500 decks, +/- 10% (usually plus).  With the price for a basic deck being somewhere around US$3, roughly, you'll be looking at bill of between US$6,850-$8,250.  And that's before you ship a single deck out the door.  I know they offer domestic shipping for free - international shipping is probably a different story.  I'd say a safer estimate to just get the deck made and delivered to your door would be US$10,000, assuming you're ordering a very basic deck, no special features like an embossed box, metallic inks, custom seals, etc.

Final designs.

You would be hard-pressed to get those edges cut perfectly. Odds are you'll lose the little red bit you have there next to the negative space on the "K" and probably on all the cards that you decide to do negative space for. This will make the cards hard to understand when you play with them.

And just to add on to that, I think having the numbers and letters in negative in general will make this deck very hard to play with. That is if you were going for something that has function.

Just a heads up.
